Threads were different.
A little hard to screw on because the threads were no exactly the same but did go on after some tinkering.

Be cautious when installing.
Threads are reverse! O-rings butt up against each other causing it hard to thread on, however, with a little patience, it installed and appears to be working as desired.

Exactly as advertised. I have used this product before under a different name however, this package contains everything you'll need to turn your propane cylinder into quick connect fitting. Just be sure to follow the installation instructions completely. Heed the warning that states you MUST tighten the adapter until the plastic adapter breaks. Then test for leaks with a bubble/soap solution once the tank has been purged and filled.

The removal tools break constantly.
These are great for connecting propane tanks to our grill easily. However they screw on backwards, which leads us to constantly break the tool, which you can’t replace on its own.

Extended life of Weber Genesis Grill
I have a Weber Genesis grill from 1996. It has the quick connect supply line, but my tank was old and Costco refused to refill it for safety reasons. So, I got a new tank but needed to convert it to use the quick connect supply line, and this allowed my to do that. Took me about 5 minutes to read the directions, install the adapter, check for leaks and begin grilling!Extremely fast shipping on this product. Ordered Monday, arrived Thursday. Thanks Amazon!

Works perfectly with no leaks, easy to install
I have an old (but very good) Weber barbeque that uses the quick disconnect fittings. These convert a standard propane cylinder to a quick disconnect. The plastic insert that you use to screw it on is made to break off when the torque is correct, and the remaining piece is easy to remove. It works great and there are no propane leaks. I have used three of these over the years and they have lasted the full lifetime of the tanks they were installed on.

Great adapter, but be sure to break the plastic "key"!
If you have a Weber propane gas grill, this is the adapter you need. Take note though, some people say that you should keep the black plastic "key" that allows you to install the fitting. That is NOT true. The black plastic key is designed to be broken during proper installation. If the plastic key does not break, the adapter is not properly installed. Read the instructions very carefully. They are quite clear about this.
