Promising but with severe issues (Updated review + score)
Update:The KVM started failing for one of the monitors for the past couple of months (it would not wake up one of the monitors unless I unplugged and plugged it). And this is with the replacement KVM. CKLau has been very helpful however, I got very quick responses. After months if trying to figure out what was wrong, I have finally narrowed it down to the fact that the KVM switch itself is severely underpowered, and it can't drive all the monitors at 4K when something else is drawing power from it as well. I was able to conclude this when I unplugged a small USB splitter that connected a Mouse and a Peripheral, both of which have LED's that drawn just enough power to make it unstable. Whenever I unplugged a device, the monitor would come back on. When I plugged it back in, sometimes the monitor would go blank. What I did was buy a powered USB HUB ( https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0B7WVY8QF ) to provide power to the Mouse and Peripheral, and then connected it to the KVM. This 100% solved all issues I had, and now all monitors will wake up as expected with zero issues.I like this KVM since it is fast with switching, and it's a small profile and doesn't take up much space, but they really need to re-work this device with more power because I really thought the two units I had were defective. And so did CKLau.I will keep the stars at 5 since it's working as intended now, but it is quite tricky to get it right, especially when you add a powered mouse like mine which draws enough power to mess up this KVM.# Previous Review:I am updating my review with this KVM after working with support from CKLau, and having resolved an issue I was having as described in my original review below. At the time of buying this KVM, I wasn't aware that CKLau also sold USB-C to HDMI adapters, so I had already bought different 3rd party adapters off Amazon, all of which failed to work well with Mac Studio and this KVM. It seemed odd that three different brands of cables (all same specs) would all fail in the exact same manner, so I had thought it was the KVM.But then I ordered a different set of cables which got to me before CKLau's adapters ( https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B085HC43Q9 ) and this totally resolved the problem for me.No more screens going in and out when waking up the Mac Studio. No more windows being rearranged, no more screens being rearranged. This is the first ever KVM I have used (and I had used 5 already) that solved a decades long Apple issue with multi-monitor support. It's clear that the built-in EDID emulation solves an issue caused by macOS, which tricks macOS into thinking that the monitors are still connected and turned on.When I get the CKLau USB-C to HDMI adapters, I will also test those and review them on their own page. But for now, my current cable setup is working well. This KVM is legit, it works well with Mac Studio (again, no more desktop, icon or screen rearranging on wake up) and it also works well with my Windows and Linux PCs.I am able to get Triple QHD/1440p @ 144Hz out of all my devices without issues with this KVM. Switching performance is fast, and operation is simple. And support was very quick and helpful. They were correct when pointing out the adapters I was using as likely being the problem. Please pay attention to this part: Not all adapters and cables are made equally, even if they have the same specs. That's important to know, at least for Mac users.# Previous Review:(Original review score: 3).The BadI am having a major problem with this 4-port 4-monitor 4K@60Hz KVM.When my Mac goes to sleep and I wake it up, one or more monitors will go in and out every 15 - 30 seconds indefinitely. This is not an issue when I connect my Mac to my monitors directly without KVM, so I know it's the KVM.Only when I unplug everything and remove power from the KVM and put it all back together does it (temporarily) fix the problem. But if the Mac goes to sleep again, the problem will happen again. I can replicate this every single time.I even set the resolution of my QHD monitors down to 1080@60Hz and it didn't solve the issue.I am working with support right now hoping they can help me find a solution, but so far it's been "reconnect power" which doesn't do anything. But I do want to say that support does get back to you really quick, so that's good. The GoodWhile I am having the issue above, the good news is that this KVM actually did solve a long standing issue I've had with other KVMs: It doesn't "disconnect" displays when you switch ports, so every PC and Mac I have connected will switch quickly, and WITHOUT making MacOS or Windows 10 rebuild my desktops by moving windows and icons to the wrong monitor. It seems the built-in EDID emulator is helping to solve this issue, for now (I would need more time to really know if this is a permeant fix). The hardware looks and feels high quality and you get all of the cables you need to connect 4 devices to 4 displays. I was confused at first by the lack of USB ports at the back to connect my devices, but it seems they're using some kind of CEC hack of the HDMI spec to use some backchannel to carry USB information for KB + Mouse. I'm not sure if this a good idea, but it seems to mostly work. For example: my mouse will power on, but it will not work if "Hot Key" is enabled, but I don't know if this is related to using the CEC hack on HDMI. Turning off "Hot Key" allows my mouse to work again. I also wonder if the CEC hack they're using is causing the video issues I am having as mentioned above. The box itself is much smaller than I thought it would be. It's about 3.5 inches high and I was able to fit it into a small space I set aside for it. And it's not really that heavy either. The pictures don't show it, but it does in fact come with a remote, and the remote port is on the front of the box.As for Resolution / Refresh support with Triple 2K/QHD monitors. Despite this saying it's rated for 4K@60Hz, it also works for 2K/1440@60Hz/100Hz/120Hz/144Hz. (But 120Hz shows up fuzzy on Mac.)Is It Worth It?I really want to like this product, but the issues with screens going in and out periodically and frequently is a major deal breaker, I can't work like this. Yet this is the only KVM that solves the issue with MacOS and Windows not rebuilding my desktop each time I switch ports thanks to EDID emulation.I certainly hope CKLau support can help, otherwise I will have to return and try to find something else. Maybe I just got a bad box, or bad cables (or both), but this is a persistent problem.I will update my review if they can fix this.

Great 4x4 KVM switch and Product Support!!!
This review is for the CKLau 4-port 4-monitor HDMI KVM switch. After spending nearly a year researching almost every KVM switch on the market that could handle between 3-4 PC's and 3-4 monitors for the home office I share with my wife, I finally bought this 4x4 CKLau switch. It was pricey at $400, but it advertised all the features I was looking for.Pros:It's a quality built and sturdy black metal switch that has enough weight not to slide around when you press the front buttons on it. It looks and feels very high quality. The ports are nicely laid out and it comes with 4 HDMI/USB/Audio combo cables to handle the video, audio, mouse and keyboard connections, and 12 regular HDMI cables to handle the remaining 12 connections needed to fully connect 4 computers and 4 monitors. It has an included optional wired remote switch to toggle between the computers which I highly desired and was a big selling point since I can't easily reach the unit itself to press the front buttons while hidden behind my monitors. In addition to the front buttons and wired remote switch, the unit has keyboard hotkey combinations for switch between computers as well as controlling several other features like toggling the audible switching beep and activating auto-detection and auto-cycling between monitors. In addition to all the amazing features built into this switch, CKLau's product support has been EXCELLENT!!! The few issues I experienced they were extremely responsive in helping me resolve the issue so I can continue using this switch as intended. I would easily rate their product support as a true A+. Thanks Judy:)!!!Cons:There's only a single con and a few thoughts and ideas regarding the cosmetic look of the unit. I prefer the look of a unit that has minimal front-facing connections, so I wish the speaker, microphone, and wired remote ports were on the back of the unit. It would look a lot better without wires sticking out the front, but I understand that that would likely increase the overall size of the unit due to limited space on the back of the switch with the sheer numbers of ports and limited physical real estate. These aren't ports you regularly switch cables in/out of, so I actually wouldn't care at all if the unit was slightly larger to accommodate rear-facing connections since the unit is fairly small to begin with. This is only a cosmetic concern and definitely not a deal-breaker. It does have a front-facing USB2.0 port which is nice if you need to quickly connect a USB device, however I cannot actually use this port due to having to keep my keyboard plugged in here rather than in the designated rear keyboard USB port that causes my keyboard to freeze-up. The included manual advises if you have any keyboard freezing issues to use the front USB2.0 port, which I did and the freezing keyboard issue immediately went away. Preferably, I wish the designated rear keyboard and mouse ports were USB2.0 and the unit had several (2-3) USB3.0 slots as the only front-facing connections. Again, not a dealbreaker and easy to work around. I tested adding a USB hub to expand the available ports on the front of the unit and it seems to work well even though I don't have a need for it myself and just keep my keyboard plugged in there. Maybe in the future if they update this switch to USB3.0, they'll take this into consideration. I would love to test one for them. The only real Con to this unit is the cheap power cable adapter block that helps power the unit. I believe it doesn't provide enough power to properly power this switch so don't even waste any time using it.Just replace it with a higher powered adapter of your choosing for less than $5 and save yourself any trouble trying to diagnose it. I noticed another reviewer mentioned the same thing.Summary:This KVM switch is AMAZING and does everything it's advertised to do. Their support is AMAZING too and will help you with any issues you encounter. I would definitely buy this again.

Great product and customer service
The KVM works well and switches between the 4 sources quickly. Easy to set up and has all the features/performance you'd expect at this price point. After almost 2 years, the USB hub started to function inconsistently. Despite it being out of warranty (1 year), the company replaced with it a fully-functioning used unit, which they didn't have to do. Between the solid product quality and exceptional customer service, I would highly recommend.

Absolute Trash
I was one of the ones that saw the crappy reviews and thought "oh, they were in 2020, maybe they've got better".... nope. This product sucks. Full stop. Within a couple of days I lost the second monitor input/output. I was ok with not doing anything with this right now because I had only lost 1 of the 4 monitord and I only plan on having 3 monitors right now. Figured I'd spend the money once and have the ability to expand when needed. Now I'm down to 2 monitors. The second one randomly went out after hopping on a zoom call. I have my wireless keyboard, wireless keyboard and a webcam running through a USB hub and it seems that maybe that had something to do with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Don't know what my plan is at this point, but this certainly isn't it.
