It's bright but not as good as my original
The media could not be loaded. So I was a little disapointed. I had this same tail light installed in my yamaha FZ6 and when it blinked and braked, it would do one light at a time synchronizing into a beautiful flow. Installing this, it was more like the outer light lights up, then the other 3 at the same time. I installed the new box to replace the old box, so it should work properly as the factory intended. I'm happy I didn't have to go back to stock, but I do miss how beautiful my last one was.

LOOKS MARRRRRRVELOUS
My factory tail lamp was burning out 2 or 3 times a year, and since I ride at night a lot for my commute home from work it was a safety issue. I figured LEDs were the way to go. This unit was affordable, fairly easy to install (on the FZ6 you must remove the tail section to replace it), and looks FANTASTIC. The fit is near perfect, and it really cleans up the look and makes my '06 look newer. It is a bit hard to get into position but once you wrestle with it and the tail section, you'll eventually get it. Took me about five minutes. It flashes too fast due to my after-market flush-mount front turn signals, so I still need to install the extra resistors, but I accidentally threw them away with the packaging, so I will have to order more. Hopefully it can handle the vibrations long-term. I installed it about a month ago and have ridden about 500 miles since then. So far, I would recommend it. If this changes, I will update my review...

Great light, easy to install, bright.
I installed this tail light on my 2008 yamaha fz6 to replace the lame looking halogen one. Other than the light being a little loose after install (which is easily fixed with some foam or a velcro strip) I love it!I have installed 2 front and 2 rear l.e.d turn signals (ebay brand) and purchased a different relay from superbrightleds.com so I did not need the resistor and other stuff sent with the tail light. I simply plugged the tail light in and wired the corresponding blue and yellow wires for the integrated turn signal portion of the light into the existing rear l.e.d turn signals and off I went.It takes longer to get the plastics off and the old tailight out than it didn't to install the motodynamics one.

Awesome Integrated Light
The tail light is brighter than I expected, but it has a fairly narrow viewing angle. More than adequate for street riding though and it's DOT approved so that'll avoid any hassle with the authorities.Installation is straightforward and requires no solder or splicing. It comes with plugs ready to go straight into the stock wiring harness. The fit is exactly like the OEM tail light, maybe a bit tighter even. Less wiggling than the stock one at any rate. The only downsides are that the resistor/regulator brick it comes with is huge and it has to be used. But you can wire any other LED flashers you have in parallel with it, before the brick, and everything works fine. That's because it really only uses the signals for logic so it's not current sensitive. It makes wiring other signals in easy, if you're so inclined. Although that will require some soldering. The tint is fairly light, but you have to expect that with the DOT approval. So it's not going to look "blacked out". If you're going for that look, look elsewhere. But all in all, I think they're better than Clear Alternatives, and for a little cheaper even.

Looks great, installs easy, but I found one issue
On my 2007 fz6 if you have a turn signal bulb go out, the system detects the drop in current and blinks faster than normal to make you aware of the bad bulb. The problem I had is when I installed LED signals on the front, the LED's did not draw enough current so the system acted as if it had a blown bulb therefore making it blink twice as fast. The issue is with it blinking so fast the sweep effect of the tail signal did not have time to cycle so instead it just looked like half the tail light was blinking red insted of turning yellow and sweeping to the left or right. If you are converting your bike from conventional signals to all LED signals you will need to install a load resistor in parallel with both the left and right signal in order for this signal to work correctly.

looks great, bright, easy to install
I wanted this light for a few reasons, it looks awesome on the bike but I want the person behind me to notice me and that's what this light does. comes with the relay and easy directions to wire it .if I remember correctly it is plug and play but if you want to wire in your old turn signals you will have to cut and strip. But light works great, looks great. Definitely worth the extra money over the $25 one

Fits a little loose but easy to connect
I put this light onto a 2009 FZ6 and the connections were very simple. I put a Clear Alternatives one on my 2002 Honda 919 but the connections all had to be made manually. This light has all the proper terminals and the install was a breeze. You'll have to remove everything in the back of the bike to get this on though. It took longer to get all the covers off the bike than to install the light. It fits a little loose so I put a little high density foam under the light to help keep it from vibrating. The light works as advertised and was a simple install.

and looks much better than the stock red housing IMO
Fits a 2009 FZ6 perfectly, and looks much better than the stock red housing IMO. This taillight is probably worth its cost in the added safety alone, since the lights flash a few times upon braking.Installation takes maybe an hour tops, it really isn't that bad. Just know that the resistor/relay box that is wired in-line with the light has to be placed somewhere inside the bike, taking away space for a pack or two of gum in the storage compartment.

Awesome tail light!
Tail light is f****** awesome but took me almost two hour because of Yamahas wonderful engineering, fits a little loose but so does the stock tail light. Overall looks super good and functions as I expected it to. Only thing is tidying wires to fit in the sun harness for the integrated signals took me a bit. Otherwise awesome product!
