First off, yes, this ham is salty. Because it's supposed to be. That's what makes it a country ham...and delicious! Perfect for breakfast. Try it on a biscuit with some apple butter and cheddar cheese. I guess it's fair to call it an acquired taste, I just acquired it at a very early age. Highly recommend.

5 of us couldn't eat this because it's SO salty we had to spit it out. (It contains 1500 grams of sodium and that's not listed on the Amazon site or I wouldn't even have considered it). There's NO possibility of a refund if you don't like it, even through Amazon A-Z policy. I'm stuck with a product we can't even eat. They told me I could learn to like it as it is a delicacy and that it wins awards. If you like this delicacy go for it. If it's a first try really evaluate what you're looking for. You will be stuck if you don't like it. It's too much money to spend on something to throw in the garbage. I'd never ever do this again and we really like Virginia baked ham. I just went to their website which states 100% guarantee no matter what. Period. Don't count on it. It's not true!

The sliced ham was mailed to me on Tuesday and Friday afternoon the mailman left it on top of my mailbox in full sun. Large red sticker on the package said “Refrigerate “Sent thru USPS!

Very dissappointed with quality with the quality.Going back to ordering directly to Edwards Virginia Ham.
