Yoolax Motorized Zebra Blinds Works with Alexa, Motorized Blinds with Remote Custom Size, Privacy Electric Zebra Shades for Windows (80% Shading Luxury Grey)

Our new house has some very high windows that take in a ridiculous amount of sunlight from late morning to afternoon. We have lots of beautiful pics from our travels on the wall and we wanted to protect them from fading in the sunlight. Originally we bought curtains for the 2 high sidelights and that helped a great deal, as there are windows below them as well, so we killed 2 birds with one stone. However, the middle high window is directly over the fireplace so a long curtain or even a short curtain for that matter didn’t work. When I saw these smart blinds that work with Alexa I thought they might be too good to be true. But after install you will see from my video that they work better than expected. Other than the tall ladder, the install was really simple as compared to the other 50+ smart items we have in our house. For me, the best part was not needing to connect them to a 3rd party app in order to connect them to Alexa. Before hanging them we made sure they were fully charged and connected them to Alexa with 1 easy step. Simply push the little button and hold for 6 seconds as the blinds cycle in and out quickly twice. After you see the curtain shimmy the second time you simply tell Alexa to discover your devices. It took just seconds. I also went into the Alexa app, renamed them and put them into a group called The Blinds. Once I got them installed into the opening I tested them with the remote. No problem. I then tested them individually with an Alexa command. I then tested the group. The only 2 challenges were getting the first blind the snap into the brackets. Pressing directly in front of the bracket helped as did moving the unit from side to side. Eventually it popped right in. Also 1 of the 3 blinds did not work initially with the Alexa command when tested. Although it worked with the remote and was listed in the devices in the Alexa app, Alexa kept saying that function was not available on the particular blind. Since the others were working fine I simply removed the device from Alexa, climbed the ladder and held the button for 6 seconds and 2 curtain shimmies, then did the Alexa discover my devices again. This time it connected and worked perfectly upon giving the command. They look much nicer than expected and I love the zebra mode that lets filtered light in when needed. They seem great and certainly do the job. Very impressed with this product.

Installing our first set of blinds was certainly a frustrating learning experience. The instructions included are confusing and could be layed out better. They are helpful once you figure out the initial set up. It took me days/weeks and communicating back and forth via email with Yoolax customer support to finally get them connected to the app. Once I ordered the correct hub, in our case it was the Yoolax Zigbee Matter Hub, I was able to easily install the hub and blinds into the Yoolax app. I've been able to create automations that automatically open and close the shades daily at certain times each day. Once connected to the Yoolax app, they were automatically connected to my Alexa app. I can now command them with Alexa as well. It took some time and patience but now that I know how to connect them to the app I do love these blinds and the way they function. I will definitely be ordering more.

Wow — fantastic product! I bought a set of five zebra shades for my parents’ living room as a Christmas gift, and we were all impressed. The shades were packaged extremely well and even arrived about a week earlier than expected. Each one was clearly labeled for the correct window, which made the process so much easier. Installation was relatively simple once we got the first shade up. All of them arrived fully charged, even though the manual mentioned an 8‑hour initial charge. The remote instructions were clear, and all the blinds came pre-paired , so we were able to test and use them right away. Overall, a great experience and a great upgrade for their space.

I initially had issues with one of the blinds and it took 2 months to get it resolved. However, the supplier was very helpful at the end of the day and assisted with getting the fit/performance of the blind corrected. I love the looks and functionality of the blinds. They are fairly easy to I install. They do come preprogrammed with a remote. They also work with voice command with Alexa which is a nice feature. I would suggest following the measurement instructions to a tee. It would be nice if they offered a measurement template like other suppliers where you could take a picture if the window. I only ordered them for one room so I could see how they looked and performed before outfitting the whole house. There are lots of color options and blind options as well if you do not want to go the motorized route. Biggest complaint here is on Amazons end not the supplier. They were very little help in getting this issue resolved and the supplier actually jumped back in to get this resolved. Nice quality motorized shades.

I have had these shades for a while now (over 6 months), and I can honestly say I only have positive things to say. The motorized function works smoothly every time, and the smart features are easy to use and reliable. They’ve held up well with daily use and still work like new. Installation was simple, and they add a clean, modern look to the room. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for smart motorized blinds. Customer service is also great. The blinds are also lightweight, the gray zebra color gives enough light inside the homes as well.
