Seems all of the mini hdmi to av made over the past few years have lost their ability to do PAL.My original one from a few years back worked perfect. The computer would change to 576i at 50Hz and a color signal would be displayed on the tv.Tried 3 others from different vendors and they are all the same.The only thing that worked was this:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QV6G532/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1But it converts 60Hz to 50Hz on the PAL setting so movement can be a little blurry. But at least its color.Hopefully someone will come out with a model that does what the old ones did.

Did a lot of research before purchasing this item still in my heart I thought it would not work but to my surprise not only does it work but it works great. Very well worth the money and it does a great job of allowing my brand new DVD Blu-ray player to work with an older model TV that has no HDMI input.

Did not work at all. Waste of money. I don't know if it was user error, or if the device just didnt work, but my husband is extremely tech savvy and he couldnt get it to work. So its either really difficult to get to work, or it just doesnt. Either way, not worth it.

I had RCA cords on hand, but needed to buy the HDMI cord. Converter does not come with cords, but is very easy to use, if you have all of the components needed on hand. I used the converter, so that I could play a DVD on my laptop, but transmit the movie to a projector. Worked great!

We have an old small flatscreen tv in the dining room that we wanted to connect our fire stick to but with no hdmi port we were unable to.This does the job so well and we now have a working fire stick on an old tv.Picture quality is great,very easy to set up.
