What is difference between the squeeze bottle vs the original style Kewpie bottle? Does it have the 4 hole cap (like they use for Takoyaki)?

The bottle is slightly smaller than the original. It has 1 squirt hole with a hinged flip up cap. Still the same good flavor. I have figured out a way to get every last drop out of the bottle. I allow air to get back into the bottle by manipulating the sides with my fingers. Then i slide the bottle, closed cap down, into a clean sock. Then i spin the sock around. This allows centrifugal force to send the mayonnaise to the cap end. I put this mayonnaise on split hard boiled eggs with a few drops of shoyu, it's pretty good.

How does japanese mayonaise taste different from american mayo or miracle whip?

Japanese mayo is made with only egg yolks, instead of the entire egg (like American mayo), plus it uses rice vinegar instead of distilled vinegar (or lemon). It ends up as a richer, creamier, tangier mouthfeel and taste.

Does this contain MSG as one reviewer says?

Yes it does. The package I received had monosodium glutamate listed as an ingredient. There is also a march 5, 2008 article from the food section of the New York Times (Yes, MSG, the Secret Behind the Savor) that specifically mentions Kewpie Mayonnaise as having MSG and why it tastes so good.

I just received i and the consistency is very runny...not at all like mayo. Is this nromal?

I did not find it to be runny. It WAS maybe a little thinner than 'Hellmans" mayo. I, personally, did not care for the mayo. It reminded me of 'Miracle Whip'.

Tasty

My favorite mayonnaise. Consistency is thicker than most but it feels a lot less oily and greasy than others so I enjoy the taste.

Stop buying the little packages.

This is some of the best mayo in the world! There is a little product separation similar to other mayo. The texture and consistency are great. I love that I can get a whole huge jar of this instead of buying the little ones from the grocery store that are never in stock. Great value for my money and convenient delivery to my front door.

Great value and fast delivery!

Kewpie mayo is heads and trails superior in taste over the usual mayo brands. I love it! I also love that I can buy it in a bulk size. My order arrived lightening fast and well packed/protected. I'm enjoying sandos today and okonomiyaki this weekend.

This stuff is just better

The best. Much richer than traditional American mayonnaise. In my area only the small squeeze bottle is available. I love the taste of this and the squeeze bottles just don’t cut it when it comes to a more broader range of use in food preparation.

LOVE Kewpie!

I LOVE Kewpie mayonnaise & the squeeze bottles just didn't last long enough so I ordered the jar. It's bigger than I expected, but that's my fault for not paying close enough attention. It will NOT go to waste!!
