Folic Acid 5mg - 5000mcg (Vitamin B9) | 120 Easy Swallow Capsules | Folic Acid for Pre Pregnancy

These are much stronger than the usual OTC ones. I am B12 deficient and my deficiency was being poorly managed and not taken seriously as is the case with so many other sufferers in the UK. I'm treating the deficiency myself now and this strength of folic acid is the recommended cofactor needed for the B12 to work. Although they are big they are easy to swallow. I also ordered some for my mum who is also B12 deficient and she has been feeling better since taking these too.

Unfortunately with any folic acid this strong, it is a little expensive. But it definitely works! And it's necessary alongside alternate day b12 injections, to make sure your body can make use of the b12 and not leave you folate deficient!I had my blood tested, then started taking this for a couple of weeks during my loading doses. I then stopped taking it for almost a month and got my blood retested again, with improved folate levels still!

I haven't been able to get my prescription filled after changing gp, and I'm just so thankful to find these. For those like me having trouble during lockdown to have their health (pernicious anaemia) taken seriously I highly, highly, recommend. It's worth the price and the customer service is excellent. They're fast, polite, and professional.

Ive been taking these throughout most of my pregnancy. I first took the ones I was given by the doctors but they had horrible after taste and made me feel sick. These folic acid tablets have been completely different with no side effects atall.

The folic acid 5mg tablets I used to take were small and in a pill form, they were easy to take. I ran out of them so ordered these ones, I found them difficult to take a d did not like the fact they are a capsule. Additionally, I have started getting an acidic feeling in my stomach and actually feel nauseous after taking my daily pill...

They taste a little sawdusty on the tongue but they aren't on your tongue for long. They are a lot bigger than I am usually prescribed from the chemist but easy enough to swallow and a third of the price so a no brainer for me. I will buy again.

Easy to swallow, one tablet dose and inexpensive. No reason to pay any more!
