3M MEDIPORE Soft Cloth Surgical Tape

I first purchased it in 2021 and repurchased it in 2024. This is a high quality tape with excellent adhesive, but is not painful to remove. Its functionality is great because of the perforations to remove each piece, but you can decide when to pull it apart according to your needs. Paper tape doesn’t even come close, and this is a tape you can trust to stay on, The size of the roll is quite big and it’s worth the price, which I found fair for such a quality item. I would highly recommend it without reservation!

Sticks but doesn’t pull skin as bad as other tape. And love the perforations.

I like that it is perforated so no scissors are needed and the tape sticks and is also easy to remove. Fabulous!

This is a great cloth tape! Adhesive is good, tape is comfortable.

I use this tape at least once a week, or more, to help secure my lidocaine patches on my back.Anyone who uses lidocaine patches knows how much of a huge pain in the butt they can be to successfully keep on for long periods of time — especially if you need to put a patch on a location that moves a lot, like a knee or elbow.Thanks to this awesome tape, I can keep the patches on for as long as I need!As mentioned in the title, you dont need scissors to use this tape. That is probably the biggest “pro” for me, as I (like many other households) often cannot find any of the multiple pairs of scissors I buy.You dont really “need” scissors because the tape is already perforated, kind of like a roll of paper towel.The perforation is nice as it allows for you to get consistent sizes/lengths and you can also customize the length or amount you need. For example, you might need one big piece, or a bunch of individual pieces.I will say that the individual pieces of tape are a bit bigger (taller) than your standard paper tape or durapore tape, but you kind of need that if you are securing something (like a gauze pad) to your skin.The tape pieces are decently sticky, but occasionally I do notice they can sometimes struggle a bit to firmly adhere to the skin. Occasionally, I will notice that the tape is no longer flush against my skin. I can easily press it back on, but the “gaping” isnt always noticed right away and can lead to the tape sticking to my clothes instead.I would note that the tape “not fully sticking” does *not* happen every single time I use the tape. Given this, I chose to only remove one star from the overall product rating.On the bright side, I have not noticed any significant pain when I try to remove the tape. At least, the pain is nowhere near the pain experienced with other tape brands I have used — you know, the ones that feel like it is literally taking a layer of your skin off when you go to remove it!The last “pro” I will mention for this product is that the non-sticky side (outside) of the tape is pretty soft. This is very helpful if you need to place a piece of the tape in an area that might rub against other skin, like the back of a knee.

This tape is ideal for use in wound dressing. The perforations make it easy to divide into squares for use in holding dressing surfaces together and is easy to remove when finished. BRAVO!

This might be TMI (too much information), but I currently have a wound that is constantly weeping fluid. The problem is, the wound is located right at the crease between my lower back and the top of my backside. Therefore, every single movement I make (sit down, stand up, etc.), it seems to reopen the wound, making it difficult to heal. So far I have tried paper tape, plastic waterproof tape, large bandaid products and even wrapping a large ace bandage around it, but all ultimately leak, wet the tape/bandages or roll up and end up falling off shortly after application. THEN I tried this product which is MIRACULOUS! I say this because it's the ONLY tape that actually stays securely in place on my skin between my movement and the weeping of the wound. Please don't even hesitate for a moment to buy this product! It's THAT superior to all the other tapes out there, especially taking into the awkward location of where your wound may be, like in my case. One other little thing to note, just FYI, you will need scissors to cut the length of tape desired, but thats no biggie. I just can't recommend this product enough, and, believe me, I've wasted so much money on too many other inferior tapes now, I know firsthand what I'm talking about. I'm writing this lengthy review to hopefully save you from all the trouble, expense, and disappointmentI went through before finding this stellar product.

I have extremely sensitive skin. I cant use bandaids, nor basically any other tape but i can this one. It hasn't cause me to much discomfort and I've had to bandage a surgery place on my foot for weeks. I've come up with all kinds of ways to use this successfully and so will you! DoesNOT HURT when taking it off!
