Amazon Essentials Men's Waterproof Rain Jacket

I bought this rain jacket for my husband, he wears a medium and got him the medium, when i received it thought it was going to be a bit small on him but fit just perfectly when he tried it on, maybe might be able to wear a thinner sweater on the bottom, still have not tried it though. I love the material and looks great on him. If you're looking to buy one to wear on top of your regular sweater then might want to go up a size. The only thing i did not like is when he sits the zipper part bends up and looks funny. Does not happen on my northface rain jacket. The problem seems to be on the zipper, its very stiff and thick. Other than that this rain jacket would have gotten a 5 start, its almost perfect.

I wish it would breathe a little bit, but being polyester you can expect it won't m however it is a very light jacket so it is just trapping your body heat in not making you super warm. I ordered the large and it is a little big for me, but that was to be expected I'm 5'8" and 180lbs, I wear a medium but I saved $10 by getting a size larger so price won out. My last jacket was breathable, but was only water resistant, so you wear it longer than 5 minutes and it soaked right through to your clothes underneath. I don't think I will have any trouble with this jacket repelling the rain, 60% chance I get to test it out tonight!

They shouldn’t call it a jacket, because its not. It’s an outer plastic shell at best. It definitely blocks wind and water! It has 0 lining and does not protect you from cold. If it’s cold outside the jacket is freezing. It’s like wearing a well fit trash bag. If they put a liner or insulation it would make it 100% better. Build quality is good as is the fit.

I was looking for a not so heavy duty rain jacket for a trip to the U.K. at a reasonable price. I couldn't quite afford to take out a second mortgage on my home to buy a Patagonia jacket and then started looking at North Face jackets. I stumbled across this Amazon branded gem and thought I would give it a shot - what did I have to lose at a fraction of the price of a North Face jacket? Turns out its a great jacket. The fit all around was as expected, it's lightweight, waterproof, and it doesn't feel like I'm in a sauna under my jacket. Great buy!

Its a basic jacket. I got it mostly to stop wind and some rain. It does both with flying colors. There is no liner so to speak its just a rubbery/vinyl type material. I got mine to start some enduro rides until I warmed up. Its perfect and would buy again.

This is a very high quality jacket for a super value. High quality fabric, water resistant zippers, taped seams, very well designed, and outstanding manufacturing. If this jacket had a label in it from NF, Mountain Hardwear, Marmot, Arcteryx, it would easily be priced at 3-4 times as much. If Amazon put this kind of quality in other outerwear (pants, down jacket, softshell), then I could finally ditch those overpriced makers. Keep it up, Amazon!

Pros: Appears very waterproof from the tests I put it through. Water rolls right off. Zippered pockets. Drawstrings for tightening. Lightweight. Size - fits well for a small. More form fitting. Material - rubbery plastic and synthetic layers make it smooth and flexible. Little noise compared to more plastic ones. Velcro - No velcro over the zipper. It makes it less manageable and catches on other things.I prefer it over the Columbia's watertight one.

Really like the jacket. Ordered an XL for my husband who wears a L in most shirts and although it looked very attractive on him, it was quite fitted and he would not have been able to wear more than a t-shirt underneath. Ordered an XXL which he has not tried on yet so here's hoping it works because there is not a next size up offered. BTW, like the jacket enough that I kept the XL for myself.

Muy buena chamarra, la he usado cuando llueve y no pasa nada de agua, muy buena calidad de materiales, viene un poco amplia pero se puede ajustar, tanto en las mangas como en la cintura, la recomiendo

Veste jolie et bien imperméable. Il n'y a pas de poche intérieure, juste 2 poches extérieures qu'on peut fermer grâce à une fermeture éclair. La matière est très agréable, bien étanche et respirante, la veste n'est pas trop chaude. Juste dommage que la fermeture éclair pour fermer ou ouvrir la veste soit inversée, c'est une fermeture éclair femme. Mais ça ne mérite pas une étoile en moins, à mon avis, étant donné la qualité globale de la veste.

Very pleased with this purchase, I get compliments when wearing it! However, when walking during intense rainfalls, the coat does get wet inside after a few minutes while still providing some degree of protection.

La compré una talla más grande para poder llevar alguna mochila pequeña debajo. Es realmente impermeable en lluvias aunque puede guardar bastante calor, pero lo compacta que es facilita el quitar y poner en el momento preciso.
