Field Guardian Hi-Tensile Wire Cutter

Use this to cut 16 gauge wire fence. Very sharp and does not takes much effort. The cutting edge open wide just enough and align nicely. The size and length is just right. It is not too heavy and long, Enough torque to easily cut wire .Very good and sturdy tool. Must have for barb wire fencing and wire mesh fencing.

It cuts fine but that locking loop is in the way. Fold it back and it bothers your grip when cutting heavy wire.

For a small pair of pliers,they will cut high tensiel wire fairly well

These two pictures show the cattle fencing I cut and the Wire Cutter after cutting. These demolished the fence wire with ease. Not a single dent in the edge of the blades and it was relatively easy to cut the wire. At first I thought it dented the cutting edge when testing on some extra chain link fencing but it was just the galvanized color that stained the blade. For those who complained about the storage clip getting int he way; simply fold it back against the blade handle and clip away since it'[s out of the way on the handle. This was a "steel" of a cutter for the money :-)

Bought it because all my side cutters I had could not cut this wire. These did the job like butter

These work but it takes more hand strength to cut the steel wire. Fencing pliers work better. The wire bail to hold it closed tucks neatly out of the way when using the pliers and then falling in the way while using them and gets crushed beyond repair. Do yourself a favor and remove it and just live with the pliers being open all the time.

Tried to use when stringing high tensile electric fence, but they won’t cut the wire. Instead they just deformed. The cutting head doesn’t have hardened steel so it deformed when cutting hi tensile wire.

A small but mighty wire cutter that is easy on the hands.

I needed a cutter to cut chain link fencing and this worked extremely well. Cuts this weight and hardness of wire easily and the cutter looks as good as new when I was finished.
