I didn't realize it was metal because I apparently can't read, so that was an awesome surprise. It's very stout for being aluminum and it fits absolutely perfectly. The reason for 4 stars is how light "charcoal" is in this case. It's a light grey and doesn't match the dark, actual charcoal of the kicker box whatsoever. If it'll be visible to you, be warned. Anyway, the reason I bought it and highly recommend it to other owners is that if you have a 3rd gen, 2016+ Toyota Tacoma without JBL, put this grille on a Kicker 46TL7T82 (8" kicker solobaric loaded box), it will drop in the right rear cargo bin perfectly, the grill will keep the woofer safe and lets the sound out while seating in nice and snug, clearing the ISO-Fix for the car seats.

Installed on my boat. Fit perfectly on my Kicker marine sub. Installed in seconds!

Reason I give a 3 star is they are not painted/ finished. Gonna need to paint myself. Also, they seem a bit shallow and I worry that the sub excursion may hit them and sound bad. Have not hooked them up yet, but we will soon see.

Worked great on my Lid's and I like that they are metal rather than flimsy plastic.
