Absolute junk
Where do I start? The metal is so cheap and unsturdy that no matter how much you tighten the bars, they still turn inward once the weight of the dog is on them and then scrub on the dog’s ribs/shoulders. The screws holding the wheels on come unscrewed as the wheelchair is in motion. So you’ll have to co tinuously stop to screw them back in. The harness is not designed to allow the dog to go to the bathroom, so unless you want to clean smeared poop off of the dog & harness, your dog will have to hold it. Also, the company wants to charge return shipping to send back the piece of crap wheelchair that they are selling. Please, save yourself the headache and don’t buy this wheelchair

Fantastic customer service
Good product, Fantastic customer service. I had to exchange the 1st wheelchair because we could not get my dog's rear high enough. They exchanged without issue and no extra shipping cost. Then the harness for the larger size wheelchair was to big for my dog ( he was tall and narrow) and they shipped a smaller harness at no extra cost. Once fit was correct, there was no slowing Kyzer down. He was able to go for walks and play ball. His wheels gave him another year of quality life before age and infirmity took him from me.

Takes too much time putting this item together...Instructions need to be either in bigger print or better yet ... a disk with a step by step tutorial.

Assembly instructions are horrible. Very flimsy.
The assembly instructions were terrible. They did not cover some important aspects of the assembly and actually would contradict themselves from one page to the next. For instance, the photograph on the cover of the instruction manual actually showed the product put together wrong. Because of the lack of instructions, I’m sure it took 3 times longer than it should have and in the end I still was never sure what was correct. Once assembled, it was very flimsy and was jabbing my dog in the rib cage, even though I had everything as tight as possible. Very frustrated that I wasted a good part of a day on trying to get it to work. I will be returning it with all of my added notations in the instruction manual, of information that is missing or plain incorrect. Hopefully they improve the manual at least.

Thank you so much Best Friend Mobility!
First let me say that I was unsure about this wheelchair. I read the reviews (on the size large) and some of the negative ones made me have second thoughts. But, the positive ones made me go ahead and take a chance on this. I'm so glad I did!My German Shepherd hurt her leg and has been unable to function it properly. Given time I pray that her leg function will be fully restored, but until then I thought this wheelchair would help her get mobile again.... and it has! The joy in her face and her excitment when she has this on is priceless. Thank, thank, thank you so much Best Friend Mobility!!! 🐕The assembly : I saw some reviews on the size large wheelchair where this was going to be challenging. It really wasn't. The hardest thing to do was figure out the back harness was supposed to be placed. Tip - there is a YouTube video on the assembly of the large wheelchair (it will work for the XL as well) that will help you out. The next challenging thing was adjusting this to my dog, but with the help of my friend (who held my dog) it was accomplished quickly.Quality of the chair : The only negative thing I will say is that I wish the actual metal of the chair was a more solid piece of material. It feels a little cheap. BUT, so far it is holding and carrying my 100+ lb German Shepherd around with no problem. All in all I'm happy with this purchase. It has helped with my dogs situation and that makes me very happy!!!

Looking good
The media could not be loaded. First day of my 100lbs, 14 year old lab using his new wheels. He was diagnosed with DM a year ago and his right hind leg has been giving out on him, causing him to sit and not be able to get up. So far the wheels seem promising. He was happy to be able to “run” (really fast walking) in his new wheels without falling. I put shoes/booties on him because he has been knuckling his hind paws. The shoes/booties seem to make it easier for him to get traction to be able to use the wheels more efficiently. An online institutional video (on YouTube) made it easy to put together. So far, we are happy customers.

poor quality
the wheelchair was made of really, really low grade aluminum. Although it is made for bigger dogs it got bent after I put my dog in it. It offered little to no stability for my dog who suffers from Degenerative Myelopathy. Whenever he tried to turn he fell over and got really agitated. Waste of money. Now it's just sitting in my garage collecting dust. Really disappointed..I had really hoped it would help our dog be more mobile.

Initial impressions are good
Our GSD has no power in rear end now to stand he's 12. I looked at all the versions but decided on this one really because of previous reviews and substantial size of wheels. It wasn't cheap so I had high expectations of quality. It frame was quickly assembled and it gives me the impression of being sturdy. The harnesses took us ages to figure out even with instructions and You Tubing. I'm hoping the fixtures to the harness/ frame are adequately durable ; we'll see I'm reserving judgement although it definitely doesn't scream flimpsy . We couldn't figure out the purpose of two zip tyes/ties round one two fixtures on the harness. The support bars on the frame attached to the front harness we felt should have had padding .Initial thoughts are delighted and I certainly wouldn't advise even contemplating buying a cheap version if it's a big dog.Within a few minutes he seemed to happily trot in the garden with his back legs fully supported in slings which are padded.

Whoever designed the assembly instructions should be fired.
I bought this for my dog who's hind legs have completely given out, hoping this would give him another couple of weeks of life. Or at least allow him to go to his death with some dignity (It was an Alaskan Malamute)He did not accept the wheelchair and so he met his fate on the same day as it arrived. I do not fault the product for this. What I do fault the product for is quality of some materials and the instruction manual. The latter of which was created by an utter imbecile.Instructions for assembly were convoluted, with the initial steps for the back frame being in the wrong order. As it tells you to first mount the more narrow frame, after which you struggle to mount the second wider frame. This brings up the second point. Some materials, mainly the included wrench and nuts & bolts. The wrench damaged the nuts and became unusable as it couldn't get a grip. And after unscrewing one of the screws due to the aforementioned frame problem it lost thread so I couldn't place the nut back on it.Going back to instructions, the worst part was the harness mounting. The pictures on the instruction are close up and at weird angles. And considering you will be placing your (probably) very ill pet on top, it doesn't give you any faith, you're almost scared to do it because you're not sure if the harness is mounted on correctly. Disgraceful. And lastly, the pictures are black & white. That wouldn't be weird if not for the fact that there are a couple of pictures that do have colour AND THE WHOLE BOOK HAS A FRAME SURROUND IN COLOUR.Besides, the unit is not that big, why not ship it assembled with the user just needing to attach the wheels. I don't think anyone who gets this is in a mental state where they will be happy to follow along the terrible instructions like they are building a LEGO set.

Cruciate ligament damage support 5*
The media could not be loaded. I wasn't sure if my Malamute would take to this cart as they can be quite stubborn but it was an instant success. A few months ago she damaged her cruciate ligament on one side, with veterinary consultation it was decided it was best to restrict exercise and let it heal as my vet predicted that the other side would probably go shortly too. Which it did. That left us concerned about keeping her fit and healthy both mentally and physically. We had researched quite a few different carts and this one seemed to come out well in trials and was reasonably priced too - compared to other ones. It was easy to put together and is simple to adjust. Within a short time of owning it, she is now have a regular daily walk (it's recommended to build up 10 mins daily) and is running, chasing balls and able to go to the toilet in the cart with ease. Happy Malamute, happy owner.
