You never Really know,...but I can say that I KNOW these are really docusate
If you're reading this, I know you have some of the same issues and concerns as I do: One of which is: are these REALLY the medicine? Well, these have worked better than the last two brands I've used. (Kind of wondering now what those really were.) I take 2 capsules with breakfast and with dinner...My issue is considered moderate-severe. (Gastroparesis; and I'm notorious for not drinking Any liquids other than a glass of water at each of those times*). I've been through one whole bottle thus far and things have been moving better....MUCH better on the days I drink more water. I hope you find a routine that works for you.

Works great
This is exactly what I wanted. I had been purchasing at Walmart and they stopped stocking it. The capsules are the same that I was used to. I will buy again.

very good product, hard to find.
"Stool Softner", (dioctyl sodium sulfanate, as I remember), increases the return of water to stool in the lower intestine which softens the stool before evacuation. It may not be enough. You may need to add a diet change and or laxative. Follow the directions on the label, from your doctor, pharmacist, nutritionist to avoid dependence on laxatives. NOTE* I have not been able to find Stool Softner, 250 mg, in stores in North Carolina, only 100 mg? I was a nurse in California for 30+ years and 250 mg was the standard there? I can only guess that if 250 mg works best, people will have to buy at least twice as much 100 mg doses in the stores. You do the math and check the prices. Let me add that I have noted a change in prices for a number of medications commonly used by our ageing population.
