Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 T217T 7-Inch T-Mobile GSM 4G LTE Tablet PC No Contract

Very decent tablet but I am not using it for its tablet function. I am using it as a LTE Modem for my Internet connection at home. It is hooked up directly to the USB port on my Asus RT-AC66U Router with tethering (many Asus AC routers seem to have this ability) and tt is working great so far for this so I am very happy. The seller was great too! Since I knew that I was purchasing a used/refurbished model, I did not really care how the condition would be considering what I was going to use it for, as long as the LTE worked well and I could see the screen enough to operate it. Much to my surprise, it was in way better condition than I expected. Very little scratches/marks on the outside and screen is near perfect. I did have to clean it up a little but that is not really a problem. I would probably be happy to use it as a true tablet if I had a need for it. All in all I am very very happy with this purchase.

I actually liked this tablet. Im an Apple fanboy but needed an android device for its google integration and didnt want to break the bank so i made the mistake of buying this open box. Turned out to be a boomarang. After returning i reordered as an unopend brand newtablet. The short time i was able to use the tablet i returned i liked how responsive it operated and the bells and whistles i thought it was worth buying the real deal I would recommend a purchase of this device

I ordered this GSM tablet so I could make my work easier when navigating using lyft or Uber apps, as it;s GSM capable, so I could purchase a data plan, nice screen, but not so bright as the Tab 4 version. Small enough to fit in the dashboard or windshield (using a windshield mount)of my car without keeping from driving safely, but big enough to be seen from any angle and make the navigation process easy, accurate, without any effort at all. I'll update my review in three months or 4 as It's still too soon to give a final opinion.Pros:-Reliable, never freezes-Enough internal storage (16 GB) to store enough factory apps data plus the apps we regularly install as needed or on demand, and of them, 12 GB are available to user-Supports 64 GB of microSD card additional (so, plenty of storage even for the most demanding users.-50 GB of Dropbox storage-1.5 GB of RAM memory (that's why it never freezes), even if running several apps at the same time-1.7 dual-core processor (many background processes running at the same time without a single issue-4G LTE capable-Once software is updated to 4.4.4, it runs smoothly (initial software update should be done using wifi, as this first update is almost 600 MB size), so, updating using your carrier's data plan might use up all your plan and take some time to be finished and most of all, keep tablet battery charged above 90 % when performing this update and always connected to tha A/C charger, since update or installing processes fail, device may be unusable any more unless taken back to factory-Awesome wifi range, hotspot range when broadcasting for other devices. I tested just 5 devices connected at the same time, and I didn't even notice internet speed change. (this was only a test, as I would normally use it to connect 2 devices to the internet.- Sound quality is ok-CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8930AB / Krait 300 (which allows to run many apps at the same time without any issue)-Infrared portCons:-Battery drains too fast, even if tested with a minimum of apps running. I tried forcing/stopping most of some background apps that could be stopped and battery still drains at same rate. I'm still doing the proper calibration of the battery, as I assume is a new battery, and new lithium-ion batteries must be calibrated first to previous use at full in order to increase battery life and prevent battery from not charging at full. I'll post back in a week and update this info-Quality of image is not that awesome as the Tab 4 version, but enough for the use I need it for, If you're looking for a tablet for running apps other than HD videos, this is not the right one, spend some extra $20.00 dollars and buy the GSM capable  New Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8GB (Unlocked) 4G LTE 7" 1.4 Ghz Micro Sim T235Y White - International Version No Warranty  or higher screen size like  Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 inch T337 Wi-Fi + 4G LTE 16GB AT&T GSM Unlocked Tablet- White  , but less internal storage.-Although it says phone capable, it's not really like that, I tried it with several SIM cards associated to my other accounts and neither of them worked as phone, just data. Besides, there's no app or button that supports this option, so, I assume it's just because will be of no use.(Seller should read others' reviews and questions and let potential buyers know all the specs and capabilities of the device. As I read a question about phone capabilities and someone answered it was capable of making phone calls with it and seller did not take the time to answer. If it is capable of making phone calls, I assume it must be using a third-party app like SKYPE, REBTEL, etc, which charge for this service, but in no way using you carrier's plan.-It lacks NFC connection-It does not support external QWERTY physical keyboard-No flash, no auto focus, only digital zoom-Flash player is not supported

Best Tablet I've ever seen, much less owned!All the features of any great tablet, plus, with a cheap Straight Talk card, it works everywhere!

Love the tablet WORK great for my daughter who uses it for games my only complaint is I bought A hdmi adapter to hoOK it up to my TV and it does not stream which watching movies is one of the reasons I bought it

I like it, very fast tablet, this was a gift for my father who uses it with google map when he is driving, he said it works very fast, thank you, great product, my only suggestion is buy the case, it is worth it.

I like all Samsung electronic devices. .With this tablet it has a good ling battery hours

Very good product, but I couldn't make normal call on it though it accept any sim card.
