Deli Fresh Vanilla Halva, approx. 1lb wedge or loaf

I have been wanting to find Halva (or Halvas, as I learned it) since I tried it in Athens, Greece nearly three years ago. I was a bit nervous ordering food online, and my food-freshness paranoia kicked in when it was warm in the box (it has been 90 degrees here, so.. makes sense). But it was fine, and EXACTLY what I've been craving. It's just so good!I saw other reviews saying the company is slow to ship, but my order was shipped the very next day after I placed it, and arrived just two days after that. So it really couldn't have been any faster! And it tastes just like the kind I had in Greece - perfect, sweet and savory - great stuff.

Delicious halva! Many people say this is not sweet enough. If you like genuine halva this is it! I typically get mine at a little Greek olive store! And this compares great! I think it's very sweet. I don't like the overprocessed halva that comes in candy bar form. It's not the genuine product.This comes in just a ziplock bag which was interesting but I would 100% buy again or reccomend

I have ordered this two times now. The taste is great and I love the texture of this one. My concern was the packaging. The first time I ordered it came in a vacuum sealed plastic and the second time in a plastic tub with no seal. I was ok with the plastic wrap but the plastic tub not being sealed seemed to have a different taste. Very good halva though. I would buy it again!

I've ordered from this seller a few times now and will order again. Delicious. For those buyers that mention the packaging. Don't forget that halvah comes in a very large piece so that it has to be sliced by hand. The seller packages it very nicely after cutting the slab. Not professionally factory sealed. I think this is a quality product.

This halva was not as good as I have had before. This halva was very dry. Halva is more oily I was not pleased at all, and would not order any again.Helen

For years now, When we get halvah this is where we get it. Packed well. Good food. Highly recommend.

Bought this on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. I put pieces on top of my brownies before I bake them and it’s great. A step up from everyday ole brownies. Need a bit of sweetness....have a chunk and be satisfied. I wonder if mixing it in soy sauce would give my Gomae (cooked spinach) a nice flavor? Off the refrigerator!

Too dry and crumbly.
