Wall Control 30-WGL-200GVB Galvanized Steel Pegboard Tool Organizer, Galv/Black

In the process of putting together a hobby-room work space it was time to look for a pegboard to mount above my new smith table. I had previously purchased a nice 24X48 polymer unit from Lowes like the two I have mounted in my garage, but, alas, they no longer carry it for whatever reason. After utilizing the poly boards for the last 5 or so years, I'll have nothing to do with the old fiber board pegboards, so I went to Amazon to see what other options were out there...which is where I came across the Wall Control galvanized steel pegboards.With the rolled edges and built-in mounting solution, it looked like a good option. Looking around the web a bit they had good reviews, so I decided to pick up the two panel pack with the included accessories (Wall Control 30-WGL-200GVB).Mounting was a snap, and I have to say that the cut and folded steel panels to make the 'standoff' mounting system was great. Love that you don't have to fuss with any spacers or frame to get this up. Luckily my builders actually spaced my studs at a proper 16" apart so I was able to mount the two panels firmly into 3 studs with the included mounting screws.Build quality is good and these are very, very solid. They will (of course) flex a bit in the middle, but they are solid and durable. The accessories and peghook system is very different from standard pegboard accessories. While the Wall Control unit will accept standard 'round hole' peg hooks and accessories, the galvanized boards also use mounting slots for their own accessories. The hooks and accessories mount very securely due to the way you have to fiddle the hooks into the slots (hard to explain, but these mounts are not going to fall out). I ended up using a combination of the Wall Control 'slot' mount accessories, plus a bunch of standard pegboard accessories and they all managed to get along just fine ;)One plus to using these steel peg boards that I did not initially think about was the use of magnetic mounts! Of course! I have a bunch of thin 1/4 x 1/2 neodium magnets that I use around the shop for sticking tools to metal surfaces. If you've used any of these neodium magnets you know they are POWERFUL. Using a few of these I was able to tack a few extra items to the edges of the pegboard, as well as just 'stick' a few things to unused areas of the surface where a regular peg mount would not suffice.I like these so much now that I am looking at getting another pair to expand my storage options.My wife even likes the looks of it. Wall Control has several colors (besides unfinished steel) such as Black, Blue, and Red (along with matching accessories) if you want to mount this in more colorful hobby room, or even a kid's area.

On a whim I purchased this Wall Control kit to help organize and tidy up my garage. I purchased it for fifty-nine during a Lightening Deal and was pleased to find that if I wanted to add more panels, they were available in several different colors. Attractive and very sturdy, the Wall Control system appealed to the wanna-be organizer in my soul and did not disappoint.What I like about this set:☆ It comes with two 32" x 16" galvanized steel panels AND accessories to hang items right out of the box.☆ The panels have very little flex and are unlikely to bend during shipment or when putting them up.☆ The finished product is as pictured; clean look for inside or outside, home or office. Would work great for a craft room or shop.☆ The included accessories are enough to get you started and since the panels also allow for use of traditional peg attachments, you may be able to use hangers you already have on hand.☆ The directions are simple to follow and installation took this so-so handy person about 30 minutes from unboxing to installed on the wall.What I would have liked to have had in the box... a few ideas for configurations. Admittedly, this is an individual thing based upon what tools you have, but it would have been helpful to me.Attaching the accessories was easy, but many of them wiggle. You can make adjustments (shown on a small bit of paper included with the smallest hooks) to make them fit more snuggly.Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. It looks good, not tough to put together and the construction and packaging is great. I would buy more if needed and recommend Wall Control products to others.

This is a well-thought out organization product. The panels are sturdy and as promised, are pre-spaced from the wall and all you need to do is line the holes up with studs or use the included drywall anchors and volia! Awesome tool storage! It also comes with lots of handy little attachments, I ended up buying two sets of baskets that are made to hang on peg boards and a drill holder but this item came with so many other doo-dads I was able to store all our tools neatly and still have several hooks left over! The storage shelf is very sturdy and while the bins are on the small side, and I don't like that you have to put them side by side, they're still useful. I have ours mounted in a corner with one panel on each wall and we were able to fit everything from our overstuffed, disorganized STANLEY toolbox onto these boards. I have no qualms about whether or not they will fall or one of the accessories will fail because you can tighten them if you wish and they're really well thought out, so they fit snugly in the peg board holes even without tightening! I have rearranged items several times to get just the right fit, and while the pieces are a tad tricky at first, once you get the hang of it they're super easy! The one thing I didn't like about this was the screwdriver holder that was included, it only has like six or eight slots (I can't remember exactly) and I ended up purchasing two screwdriver holder attachments seperately to fit our many phillips head and flat head screwdrivers. While the price tag might be a bit of a shock, when you think about it, you're getting a really good bargain when you tally up what you could spend at a big box store on peg board, attachments, wood to space the pegboard from the wall, screws, etc. This is definatley worth the cost and could easily be used for a craft area or tool storage! Highly recommended!

Everything is as promised. Easy to install, good quality. No damage from shipping. I back lit the panels for a neat effect. There are products on the suppliers site I would like to order, but I live in Canada and can not order some cool stuff. Thats the only disappointment. Not sure why that is?
