Good show, good DVD's.
I never watched any of these shows when they were on. I'm only watching them now because I just finished binge watching the Mary Tyler Moore show, and really loved how Betty White stole every scene she was in. So I grabbed this since I had heard for years that it was supposed to be a great show.I'm not quite THERE yet with loving this. It's good, definitely has its moments, but I'm still in the first season and waiting for it to hit its stride. People I've talked to said ride out season 1 and then I'll be very pleased with it when they started getting things down for each character. But I'll say so far it's still a good show. But what REALLY pleased me - the DVD's. I know many people complained that it's not a single box set for the whole series - but so many of the ones that do that have horrible boxes and it is a real pain dealing with the discs in them. The MTM show was like that. And the other great factor, something that frustrated me so much with the MTM show - these all have PLAY ALL as the default option when the disc is inserted into your DVD player. MTM had a lot of clicking to go from one episode to the next. Not these. So if you're a fan of the show, these are definitely worth getting.

It's LEGITIMATE
So , I was subscribed to Hulu JUST so I could watch the golden girls. So I decided to just buy the complete series so I could cancel my Hulu. I read the reviews after buying and alot of ppl said good things but alot also said that it was bootleged because of the abc logo instead of the nbc logo.. and that the picture was fuzzy. Anyways, it arrived on my birthday and I immediately tried to watch to see if the bad reviews were true or not. And I'm telling you, ITS 100% LEGITIMATE. Absolutely zero issues, zero skipping, and I'm so happy with what I received. Don't pay any attention to the bad reviews. I mean they even said that the cases were cheap but mine were sturdy. And the DVDs were thicker than a normal 📀 DVD. And it is a show from the 80s , so don't expect a 4K crystal clear image. It was obviously remastered but was originally filmed on film/tape... So anyway , if your in the market for something golden... BUY THIS. It's a REMARKABLE PRICE FOR SOMETHING REMARKABLE. I Give the DVDs and the quality 2 THUMBS UP. This is the best purchase I have made online. But honestly, I wish I could go to the mall and ship but that's not the thing anymore. So don't waste your money on a more expensive set. What the description shows is exactly what you'll get... And some of the "photos" in the comments aren't from this seller. I just got through seasons 1-4 , I have 3 sessions left. Even though I grew up watching them. What more could a gay man want than to watch older ladies doing their thing without fear of judgment ? And it bears repeating.... The price is fabulous, the items are gorgeous and they even have special features. 👍👍

Good classic fun
Bought these for my mother, who used to watch them while with her mother while they were on tv. Rewatching them was a pleasure. The DVDs were fine and had no issues with playback. Considering how much she enjoyed this, it was a great purchase!

The Girls are still Golden
I grew up watching the Golden Girls, then saw it again in syndication in the late 80's, and now on Hallmark. There are some episodes, and scenes, that just never get old: the Pilot, where we find out immediately just how idiotic Rose was, how hateful and uber-sarcastic Dorothy was, how acid-tongued Sofia was, and Blanche...well... Probably the only TV character who could get over-heated discussing everything from shoe-shopping to fairy tales, dolphins and ballroom dancing. And had absolutely no qualms about stealing men from the others at every opportunity. Rose is, basically, a 6-year-old Senior Citizen: forever not following the conversation, coming to the hilariously-wrong conclusion, and *constantly* reminiscing about "Back in St. Olaf...". Dorothy is an unhappy, constantly put-upon divorcee (whose ex-husband gives new meaning to the phrase "douche-bag"), whose own mother thinks she's a loser. She's also the self-described "only competent, sensible person in the house". She's also quickest to take Blanche -- who constantly gushes about her "stunning, youthful body" and "ravishing Southern beauty" -- down a peg: "In what Blanche, *dog* years?", "The only thing 40-ish in this room is your hair-do", "Looks like someone poured about 90 extra minutes of sand into the bottom (of her 'hourglass' figure), not to mention remarks about her promiscuity: "You've been under more men than a nautical toilet", "The Marines are looking for a few good men who have NOT *slept* with Blanche Devereaux!" Sofia. Four words: "Picture it, Sicily-1922."For a show that ran mostly during the 80's, it was remarkably ahead of its time: plots revolved around homosexuality/gay marriage, domestic violence, single parenthood, AIDS, teen pregnancy (not just Dorothy's), illiteracy, sexual harassment, age discrimination, racism... But always loaded with friendship, love and humor. Also, there were a lot of guest spots:a very *old* Cesar Romero, Julio Iglesias, Paul Rodriguez, Rita Moreno, and a *very* early George Clooney! Don't be confused by how many guest-stars played more than one character!I have seen every episode countless times -- have some memorized -- but some scenes are just classic, eternal!!

So far so good
It’s the Golden Girls… what’s not too love! Bought them as a gift and I haven’t heard any bad reviews from the receiver. Shipped on Tim and in good shape.
