Onvian USB C Cable, USB 3.1 Gen 2-2 Full Featured 5A 100W USB Type C to C Cable 20 Gbps with E-Marker - 3.3Ft

When I bought a new MacBook Pro little did I know that there is a big difference in USB C cables. With laptops I generally set up a stationary workstation location with dedicated power adapter, cable, and other critical accessories. Separately I duplicate the same adapters, cables, and peripherals for portable use and put them in the computer case for portable applications. I ordered a USB C for the workstation setup and received a wimpy cable that obviously would burn out carrying the current necessary for a battery recharge. A little research showed two general cable types. One for data and another to carry power. The Onvian USB C Cable, USB 3.1 Gen 2-2 looked like the best option and has functioned flawlessly since installed.

This cable works really good. The one that came with my docking station was only 11 inches and was jut not going to work for very long especially once I started working from home full time. I need the extra length cable that had the power and read/write speeds to accommodate the dock with multiple monitors and this works so good. Great buy.

This is my second attempt at purchasing a USB-C cable for my MacBook monitor. The first cable did not even allow for video signals so it was a bust. I was not aware that I had to look at the fine print when purchasing USB-C cables. Fortunately this cable has all the features I need. I can charge my MacBook and connect it to my USB-C monitor via the same cable. Cable is nice and flexible. Looks like it is well made.

Very good cable and capable of displaying video. I haven't tested the transfer rate but I have no doubt this would work. Very thicc with two cs

Works exactly as advertised. I needed a cable that allowed fast data transfers from my Sandisk Extreme drive and this fits the bill perfectly. Highly recommended.

This cable is a game changer for Android Auto users. My old cables took a while to get AA to register and had a hard time tranmitting data to make calls and stuff. This cable is 100% ready to go the second it's connected. Im no loger cussing my radio out and giving up on making phone calls.

I bought these as replacements for damaged USB-C cables used with Plugable docking stations. At first glance, the product seemed to be compatible. It has the right connectors, and appears sturdy and durable. It says it's certified so it should work. I use a single USB-C cable to connect to a docking station. The docking station providers power, additional ports, DisplayLink video and passthrough video. With these cable, all works except the passthrough video which regularly goes out of sync with the monitor leaving the display going wild, much like and old tube television that gets it's horizontal or vertical sync out of whack.Unfortunately that means these cables aren't what I expected and I can't recommend them if you're planning to use pass-through video.

Good build quality. Supposed to have an e-marker chip inside and I verified this using a smart usb tester. Also verified, via my tester, that it is able to carry the proper voltage and current my devices require.

Solid cable, very strong and thick in a good way.Bought it to output video to my display and it works up to 120hz which is quite acceptable considering panel goes to 144hz over DP 1.4 cable. Based on another review here I tested for any interference (potentially caused by a lack of shielding) I put my wireless mouse and phone near, over and on top of the cable while doing large transfers of data and spreadsheet work. In my case there was no degradation of signal or drop in performance having the cable around devices.Having said that yes there are no certs (UL CE RoHs or TuV etc) identified on the packing, this is somewhat concerning for electrical safety if I were using it to power high current devices however I am only using this cable for video and occasionally data transfer purposes not charging. Bottom line if it's from China it may not be electrically tested.
