Easy Install
This tailgate is AWESOME. It is lightweight, but doesn't feel cheap. It's what I would expect at $270. Installation took about 30 minutes. I recommend installing the side pieces before putting the tailgate on the truck. I followed the instructions and order of operation, and that process was more difficult. Looks great on the F250

Had to modify
This is exactly what I was expecting. I read many mixed reviews, mostly issues with installation. I ran into the same issues I read about. I had to use a grinder to trim the ends to fit. Easy enough as I am handy and have toe tools. After that easy install. Any one should be able to put this in but can be a challenge if they are not handy and ready to do some grinding. Over all very happy with the product and how it looks.

Wished this was a little more sturdy it is made of plastic and not metal
Wished this was a little more sturdy it is made of plastic and not metal. I think the label said no more than 100 lbs on the tailgate when it is down. It will not hold a grown man stepping on the tailgate. Looks nice and easy to install. FYI 2013 F250 Super Duty - I didn't need the tailgate package set they say you need. The tailgate came with everything I needed and ended up returning the other "required tailgate kit"

100% waste of time and Money and safety Hazzard
Purchased this only a few months ago. since owning this the gate, it has fallen down 4 or 5 times. The latch is not spring loaded so it will open on its own and fall down. I pulled it off and threw it away after it caused $300 dollars damage to my fifth wheel. The gate fell down and when a made a sharp turn the gate smashed my cargo doors. also bent the the steel upright to the gate it self. I am guessing that if they added in a $2 spring to keep the latch in the closed position while traveling down the road it would be 100% better.

This plastic fifth-wheel tailgate fit my 2008 F-250 just fine and I think it looks OK
This plastic fifth-wheel tailgate fit my 2008 F-250 just fine and I think it looks OK. It did take some minor problem solving installing but I would think most anyone could do it. It's advantage is that it is much less expensive than an original equipment quality tailgate. It's disadvantages are: it is plastic and will take no rough use; it is only rated for 100 lbs. so you cannot stand on it; it will make a poor work service because of this.; finally the locks and their linkages are weak so I am not going to bother to lock it, I will just latch it shut.

Tailgate Stromberg Carlson 5th Wheel
Not a particularly mechanically inclined female, but managed to get the tailgate on. There were a couple of small rubber tubes and a round rubber thing in a separate bag, but no instructions saying what there were. Finally figured out the one tube with a notch fit over the passenger side fitting at the bottom. The other tube didn't fit on the driver side, so I left it off. There were also 4 clip like things with holes. Put them on the metal over the holes, then put on the side covers over the metal things and screwed them on. It worked. Also figured out that the screws with the pointy end go into the foam squares. Guess they think you know one screw from another. There is no way to get a screwdriver on the bottom of the side fittings. Tried with the tailgate open and closed. There is probably a tool for this shaped like an Allen Wrench (looks like an L). Looks great and I like the locking feature.

Good product
Fit well on Ford F-350. Only issue is it is very expensive.
