I have this model Mason Pearson boar bristle and nylon mix military brush - it was given to me by my mother maybe 35 years ago. I had no idea at the time what a quality hair brush it was, but I've managed to keep it all this time in my travels around the world, and it is still as serviceable as the day I received it. Now my young daughter wants it because it's the only brush that 'really works' for her. I had no idea they were so expensive, but in hindsight they are worth every penny and then some. Amazing hair brush from a guy who normally wouldn't think twice about the merits of a good hair brush. I you're on the fence about it - go for it, you will never need another brush.
