Had to do some research but all worked out well. I would buy again from this seller
was a little different than the part number I had ordered. It had a different wire set up then the one I was replacing but after a little research found out that all I had to do was connect the two reds and two whites together and it worked fine. would have been nice to have some sort of direction in package to explain the difference. But in the end all worked well and I am happy with the purchase.

1st one defective.
I purchased as a exact replacement for my George Kovacs 6 halogen rail track lighting. First off the transformer did not kick off right away. when it did there was buzzing coming from it and the base unite got much warmer then the original factory one. I put it through the test of using it install in the fixtuer, on and off for a day. after a single 12 hour run time, it went out and never worked again. I returned it and re-ordered a replacement. The Replacement had no buzzing and seems to be working as expected from how the original factory one worked.PS) when contacting the seller for a RMA, I was sent troubleshooting information with directions of how the wiring should be but the information did not match or any wiring that obtained to my transformer. They did not take the time I guess to see what transformer I purchased from them. in short the info was useless and being how frustrating it can be with trying to work with a 3rd party seller through Amazon with back and forth messages, I did bother to see if I can get correct troubleshooting information.I was given authorization to return the defective transformer but surprised to be contadiced if the transformer worked or not and my installation of it. The testing I put on the transformer purchased was much longer then there standard test they required,. (testing information the company included with there directions for installation)Be advised a refund under the 30 day policy may be difficult to get, just saying. I had some difficulty but got a refund for the first defective transformer after a few e-mail back and forth with the seller. When deciding to purchased this, did notice there were many issues from other purchases of problems and low ratings.I did take the negative reviews into consideration but I also did found that there are not many suppliers that sell this transformer by itself and George Kovacs discontinued making halogen rail systems and do not supply parts for them.It was a decision to try to repair what was already up and across my ceiling, or buy another track light system of this type for a lot more money.

Intermittently dimming and a very noxious smell ?
160212 orig post...Not sure what is happening with the DesignClassic rail kit track lite (with 5 hanging pendants) we purchase and then replaced the transformer with this WH-2301S purchased about 1yr ago.The lamp started intermittently dimming and a very noxious smell started coming from the junction box.We are trying to determine what is happening and will update this post asap.If you have any ideas, please let us know.Thanks.160921 update...Returned transformer, got refund, and after several email attempts to request reason for symptoms, got vendor message that transformer was ok, but they did not send it back to reinstall as their return policy indicated. If got back would try to get another local opinion b4 try reinstall, but due to no return couldnt followup.Am still working on where to buy new transformer.

Lights flicker after putting in a new (replacement) transformer
When this arrived I noticed that it only had two wires whereas the same model that I am replacing had four wires. Contacted seller and was told no problem - does not matter. Installed a couple of weeks ago (purchased 12/28/18). Right after installing the 6 35W halogen bulbs all started to flicker (and have never stopped). Further searching on Amazon I noticed there IS a four wire model of the same configuration. I would suggest that it might be better to not purchase from this two wire model. Also, the 'two-wire' model cost more than the four wire model. Don't know what to do- I am unable to reach up to the kitchen ceiling to work on this monorail 6 light track model I had to hire an electrician to put in this 'two-wire' transformer at a cost of $165. Really cannot take a chance to replace it with the four-wire transformer based on that product's negative comments. Am thinking maybe I can put in a magnetic transformer and use 35W LED bulbs. Have to consult with the electrician to see if that is possible. Otherwise I have a choice of removing the track light completely (and repairing the holes in the ceiling) or replacing it with a new LED track light system (would still have to repair the holes). Either solution is expensive to replace a faulty transformer.Edit 2/22/19. Right after submitting review to Amazon i got up out of my chair, went to the kitchen and pushed the button to turn on the track lighting (it was dark outside). BAM - the transformer blew. Do not know yet if it affected the bulbs since I cannot get up to the lighting so have to wait on the electrician.
