Either I got a set of duds or other reviewers who love them must not be putting them in anything heavy. These must be meant for lightweight purposes. They practically collapse at having to go through two layers of cloth (was pinning together two pieces of polyester for a Halloween costume), and they are definitely NOT sharp enough. You can see in the image how they all just bent, and that was, again, just trying to pin two pieces of polyester together. I tried them on just cotton and was "better" but still useless. I ended up throwing them all in the trash and bought a more heavy duty pin. They are cheap in cost for a reason! Definitely would never buy again.

These are incredibly flimsy. They bend with the slightest of pressure and some came broken.I bought them because of the sizing they came in, and they were already organized into a container! However, even the largest sizes were really delicate and the tray came completely disorganized. I was pretty disappointed by them (they remind me of the quality that I get from dollar tree, but more than twice the cost).I won’t buy these again, and I don’t recommend you buy them either.

I bought these safety pins because of the variety of sizes, the price, and the positive ratings. Unfortunately, I have learned that they are a waste of money. This is at least the third pin that has bent out of shape with fairly light use. I often pin the waist of my daughter's skirt if we put it on in the morning and find that it's too loose. (I have skinny kids, and we often get hand-me-downs.) I pinned my daughter's skirt today, but by evening the pin had gotten all bent out of shape, had gotten tangled up in the fabric (didn't think to take a picture until later), come undone, and poked my 5 year old! My oldest is 10 now, and I often find clothes in bins I saved from her with safety pins still in them - those safety pins lasted through MULTIPLE wears of both my oldest and my 5 year old. I also never had problems like this with my 5 year old and the safety pins I used more recently but prior to this purchase. I am very disappointed in the quality of these "safety" pins, especially after such good ratings!

You get a lot of safety pins in this set and the variety of sizes is good. BUT, unless you are using them to attach something to something else with zero tension (like paper hanging from string), you are likely to have a misshapen pin in no time. They bend quite easily and when I tried to pin a folded over pant leg, not only the straight part, but the head/clasp bent as well. Disappointed. I will continue the quest for safety pins. Perhaps estate sales are where I should focus. So disappointed. :-(

These safety pins are so thin and the metal is so weak that they are not only useless, they are dangerous. When trying to push one through just two layers of fabric, the pin bent 90 degrees and almost stabbed me. I didn't even keep them for lightweight projects.

These safety pins are a nice assortment and I like that the box has dividers. However, the pins are lightweight and not very sturdy and don’t get the job done for me. You can’t use them for much but maybe crafts. They are not sturdy enough to use on clothing material, they just bend up and prick you.

I think they will pop open on their own under any pressure. Very flimsy. I returned them.
