AMAZING TOYS!!
My F-in-L gave my son (3 yr old) the Helicopter from 2012/2013 at Christmas. I was so impressed by the quality and had never seen this type of promotional toy before. I looked into them and found there was one for each year. I am sending them as gifts now and have collected about 8 of the toys. Incredible lights/sounds, nothing like a cheaply built toy you might expect, seriously good value and well built. 3 or 33, you will be impressed and want more of them.

Equality fire truck and highly recommended 👍
And nice quality hook and ladder fire truck from Hess. I actually purchased this in error but don't regret getting it. It was delivered quickly in less than four days. Our four-year-old toddler saw it so we allowed him to open it before Christmas. It is a very happy camper . The details of the truck is our great as well as the flights and sounds. I would buy another one especially from Hess, highly recommended .👍👍

durability
This was a gift for a grandson. Very happy with the fast delivery. However, I'm glad I opened it and checked. I thought there was supposed to be batteries already in but there was not.

Can't loose with a HESS truck!
Just the perfect gift for a little boy. They always work but for some reason this did not come with batteries even though it said that it did. I notified Amazon and nothing was done about it. I had to purchase my own. Disappointed in that respect.

A bit disappointing
The fire truck is great to look at. The ladder can be extended easily. The problem is that the controls for the sounds and lights are underneath the truck. This is awkward and kind of interferes with the playing with it.

NOT a 2000. This is a 1989 Firetruck.
I'm really not sure how many stars to give this because it is FALSELY ADVERTISED. The truck we received was NOT a Hess 2000 Firetruck, but a Hess ***1989*** Firetruck. The truck itself is not white, but off white, so it looks dated. Apart from these facts, it is a nice firetruck. It has 2 different settings for noises (both extremely annoying and loud) and an on/off switch for the cab lights. The firetruck doubles as a coin bank, with a slot on the roof of the truck under the ladder, and a back door to remove the coins. The ladder extends in 3 long segments, and there are stabilizer feet at the back of the truck that can be pulled out and down. It was for my son's 4th birthday, and he loves the moving parts (ladder, stabilizer feet, back door), and since he doesn't care what year or color it is, we're keeping it. I did have to remove the batteries, though, as the noise was just too intrusive. By the way, the only switches are on the bottom of the truck - no buttons on the truck body itself to initiate the lights/noises.I did try to reach out to the seller, but there was no way to contact them, which was very frustrating. Bottom Line - If you don't mind the year, the loud noise, or the color of the firetruck, I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Otherwise, try a different seller that actually sells what they advertise.

Truly A Keepsake
Every year I purchase a new Hess truck for my grandson, it has become a family tradition. The truck's are not just keepsakes, but interactive toys, which get played with often. When not in use, they are proudly displayed. My grandson loves them, and his collection continues to grow. Since he loves all types of trucks: rescue, construction, and specialty equipment and aircraft, I have purchased additional Hess products (outside of his birth year). It never ceases to amaze me ... the quality and engineering that Hess puts into each one of their products. I have as much fun playing with each Hess product (sometimes more) than my grandson. Thank you Hess!
