I have used other gels for the last several years and find I really need it to keep the form in my curls and to help with some of the frizz. I'm not a strict devotee of the Curly Girl Method; I have found that some of the tips work great for my hair and other tips do not. That's ok - we're all individuals and you have to find what works for you.The gel that I've used for the last 5 years (no need to name it) I swear that they have changed the formulation now.It just doesn't hold the curl that it did in the past. I was a little panicky - once I find something that works, it's tough to get me off it. A lot of on line curlies strongly recommend LA Looks Gel. I was trying other things to no effect, so I figured why not. I can't tell you how pleased I've been with this product! My curls hold, my frizz is back down and my hair isn't crunchy like it was with my other product. I highly recommend this for curly girls if you need to use gel. Works great! Will buy again!

It's the same gel I've been using for years and have trouble finding near my home.

I’m trying to find a replacement for the no longer available pink , frizz control curl gel that I’ve been using for 20 years ! I’m heart broken I can’t get it any longer. This product is closest so far, the pros it doesn’t leave any white flaking which is key and it’s cost effective. I have a lot of really curly thick hair and use a lot of this gel, so cost and not leaving flakes is important. It seems to tame my curls about half as well as the pink stuff did and If it’s humid it doesn’t control frizz as well as the pink stuff. But for cost and no flaking it’s the winner so far. (Odd mucus green color is well odd….)

Used this on my girls growing up and we liked it because it held their hair and didn't flake. Fast forward 20 years later and now we're using it on my granddaughter for the same reasons. I was glad to find it on Amazon because I couldn't find it in any of our local stores.
