With the imminent release of iPadOS and it’s much improved file handling, use of mouse etc, this hub will become invaluable.Let’s start at the basics, it’s small and very light, easy to pop into a bag, the colour matches space grey almost perfectly. (Something Apple struggle to do themselves judging by my iPad Pro, MacBook Pro and Apple Watch fail to do.HDMI works so you can plug your iPad into an external display, the usb c port allows charging of the iPad at the same time. The usb 3 reaches 5 gbps and works with my external SSDThe only downside I have found is that with the hub plugged in the audio now automatically goes to the 3.5mm so the internal speakers don’t work with it plugged in. (Not a problem with the hyperdrive hub buts that’s over twice as expensive), I simply use a pair of Logitech speakers for sound when the hub is plugged in.Basically this device is a crucial element in making the iPad Pro a viable alternative to a laptop.

The unit is well presented, seems of reasonable build quality. It fits well in the ipad, the usb C input works and charges as it should, the USB works as it should, as does the HDMI, however the minijack is terrible. Noisy when nothing is playing, and the sound quality is poor. Even after being EQ'd it is impossible to get any quality low end or balanced response, even from good quality headphones ie Bose QC35 & Shure SE425. Dissapointing.

I have an ipad pro and so far have only used the port for my USB pen drive - amazing!Only thing I would say is that could we have a cap/cover for the bit of the USB-C that sticks out for when one is out and about.

Just brilliant! With this hub I can use any flash drive and interface with Smartboards. It is so good.Flash drives appear in Locations and can be accessed immediately.

It’s a really good adapter, works well and is lightweight ☺️ but the only annoying thing is that the iPad Pro’s case needs to be off first before the adapter can fully connect 😬

Great for most things but the audio jack, it’s slightly broken as another review has mentioned. If you leave the audio jack loosely in the device then you can hear really well. Plug it in properly and it outputs a dreadful sound quality.
