Makes easy work of removing water drops
For 35mm negatives, it makes it easy to ensure all water drops are removed from the film I also use photo-flo diluted properly for the final wash, I pour some of the solution from the developing tank on the squeegee so it is not dry when using. I have not had any issues as a few others have mentioned. I have tried other ways of removing the water to avoid stains but this device along with the photo-flo, which may or may not be necessary, has worked best so I will be sticking with it.

Works pretty good
It works for the most part. I'll say though, the first time I used it there were still water spots all over the film. So I'd say this is something that should be used after you whip the film, at least this is what I started doing and it's been working great. You just grab the film, take it by one end, and use it like a whip. That'll get most of the water off, then you can use this to get the rest off. BUT I'm giving 4 stars because I would have liked to just use this tool as is.

I glad to own this due to reopening problems in the photo store rental
Love this product it does the job to take out water from the negative. I would just slowly squeeze the negatives for 1st use.

Scratched film, but...
When I first used this squeegee, I was left with some lovely scratches down the entire length of my negatives. I looked closely and saw that there was a burr on one of the blades that could have caused some uneven pressure. I took a lighter and melted it back down into the blade, and now it works like a charm. No more scratches that I can see.
