Pit Land is a popular Japanese balancing puzzle that has been in the market for close to fifty years - now being passed on from parents to their kids. The package contains a base with strong magnet and steel pieces that is stacked up on top of each other and even sideways extending outside of the diameter of the base. It incorporates both the STEM learning aspect of how magnet traverses through the steel pieces as well as develops the fine motor skills need to balance the pieces. Unlike some of the recent tiny rare-earth magnetic toys, there is no need to worry about kids swallowing the magnets as the pieces themselves are steel and the base is likely too big to fit in their mouth ;)
