Fitbit Surge Fitness Super Watch

So, I'll try and keep this fair and outline the good but I'll stress right now that my experience with this Fitbit has been really poor.So in terms of function, notifying me of texts, monitoring heart rate and steps, yea, it's fantastic. Links up to my phone nicely and I use the silent alarm to get me up. When I got it (although bulky) I was thrilled.So why one star? The build quality.I bought this originally and cleaned as advised by Fitbit and most nights I take it off to be honest. Anyway, with my first one, little air bubbles appeared under the strap and gradually got bigger and bigger. So I held off submitting a review and complained, got a new FitBit surge and all was well in the world. 3-4 months down the line, it happened again and again I complained but I was doing everything as instructed, regular cleaning and taking it off for periods so I got a 2nd replacement.Now, I'm at the point beyond complaining to FitBIt, quite frankly can't be bothered going through the rigmarole again, from my point of view it has happened (bubbling and peeling away of strap) again so I just thought it best to leave a review with pictures so that maybe other folk think twice before purchasing the surge.I can't fault the customer service and I can't fault the functionality of the fit bit but when you pay around £150 for a product you could get a clone of for about £40, you expect good quality...this is really poor.Final thoughts, buy an Alta? Or the new one that you can change the straps on and you'll get more longevity. I'm now looking at Samsung Gear S3 - again the interchangeable strap would solve this problem.Ta,B

I've been using this for 6 months now. I wanted an overall fitness device to help track my sleep and heart rate during the sleepless time of having young children.It's OK for the general tracking of walking about during the day but is way off the mark if you want to do any running.I'm no Mo Farah, but I have been known to run the occasional 7 minute mile. The GPS on this can't keep up with that.The heart rate monitor has a life of it's own too. Normally seems OK but then sometimes will not go above 130 even though I know it's somewhere in the 160s.I have had contact with fitbit on this. Their customer service robots detect "heart rate monitor" and auto-send the link to how to strap a watch to your wrist. After a few emails back and forth it became clear that they have a policy of deflecting any complaints about the device being broken until you get bored and give up.I got bored and gave up.No doubt the automated customer service bots will detect the HRM stuff here and post that link again that says I should wear it further up my arm.

Well, I'm now adding my voice to those of other Fitbit Surge owners who have had constant problems with the surge.I decided that I wanted a tracker watch with built in GPS to track my running - after a lot of careful consideration, I opted to go for the Surge as it had the functions I was looking for and Fitbit are a well known, big company, so I assumed the watch would be of good quality.Oh boy, was I wrong on that one!I'm now heading for my second replacement due to the same watch strap issues reported by other users. The strap on my first began to bubble up not long after I purchased it, but it did hold on for a while before falling apart. The strap on my second (first replacement) actually lasted some time but eventually the bubbling started, and the strap failed in a matter of weeks after it had. The replacement I'm currently waiting on is the final chance for Fitbit - if this one fails (which I am absolutely certain it will) I will not be bothering to get it replaced again - and whatever happens, I will never buy another Fitbit or recommend them. They simply aren't fit for purpose.It's not just my Surge either, or indeed the Surge alone. Several of my colleagues and people I've met also have the Surge, and all of them have had the exact same problem - and my girlfriend's Flex 2 also had to be replaced within 2 months following a battery failure. I've also noticed someone wearing a Charge with a bubbling strap.For what it's worth, when the strap is actually attached, the Surge works well as a tracker - the GPS is fairly accurate and the battery life is pretty good. The heart rate monitor is also useful, and seems fairly accurate (not as precise as a professional medical one obviously, but I never expected it to be). But that is no good if you can't attach it to your wrist.In all honesty, if you are considering buying the Surge - just don't!And I'd think carefully about buying any other Fitbit either...

Just after 6 months, the heart rate function stopped recording my heart rate accurately and now has almost stopped working altogether. For the price, I would expect this to have worked for significantly longer.

Il prodotto sarebbe anche buono, ma ci sono alcune eccezioni che fanno scendere il numero di stelle :1) cinturino di gomma. anche se è già specificato nelle istruzioni che non va indossato in modo continuativo, sarebbe stata ottimale la possibilità di poter sostituire il cinturino con uno di acciaio o altro materiale anallergico. Questo invece non è possibile poiché parte dei componenti dell'orologio sono all'interno del cinturino. Con la gomma dopo qualche giorno (e non è ancora estate) si ottengono delle fastidiose reazioni cutanee (che dopo tolto spariscono in pochi giorni).2) le misurazioni dei passi non sono molto affidabili perché vengono falsate da movimenti diversi aumentando così il numero di passi e km percorsi. Forse non è ancora possibile fare di meglio ...3) sul display è possibile vedere in modo fisso solo l'orario e la data. Se si avesse bisogno di tenere sotto controllo i battiti oppure il numero di passi è necessario ricercarli continuamente tra le opzioni del menu.

Am 1.6.2015 habe ich diese Fitness-Uhr gekauft. Da ich schon etwas älter bin, ist für mich die Anzeige der Herzfrequenz besonders wichtig. Diese ist jedoch nur sehr klein am unteren Dispalyrand plaziert. Ohne Brille für mich nicht lesbar. Beim Sport trage ich in der Regel keine Brille. Nach etwas mehr als zwei Jahren ist das Armband ausgerissen. Die schlechte Qualität dieses Armbandes ist ja schon mehrfach in den Rezenzionen angesprochen worden. Da ich die Uhr nur maximal 3x pro Woche für ca. 2-3 Stunden trage, ist dieser Defekt bei mir wohl erst jetzt aufgetreten. Ein Ersatzarmband ist bei Fitbit nicht zu bekommen. Also bei ebay geschaut und fündig geworden. Leider benötigt man zum Umbau Spezialwerkzeug, das ich aber hatte. Beim Abnehmen des Armbandes dann leider die unangenehme Überraschung: Offenbar beginnt sich der Akku zu zersetzen und blüht auf. Dadurch ich auf der rechten Seite die obere Taste schon nahezu blockiert. Das führt leider dazu, dass sich die Uhr kaum noch vernünftig bedienen lässt.Obwohl die Uhr recht zuverlässig funktioniert, würde ich sie mir aus den genannten Gründen nicht wieder kaufen. Außerdem stört mich, dass ich zum Datenausstausch zwischen der Uhr und der App auf meinem Smartphone Bluetotth, GPS und WLan aktivieren muss, obwohl zum Datenaustausch eigentlich nur Bluetoth erforderlich ist. Auf die Sammlung meiner Daten durch Fitbit kann ich gerne verzichten.

Ich habe mir die Fitbit Surge besorgt, da ich mit den Brustgurten immer Probleme habe. Egal welche Marke bzw. welches Material - ich bin einfach aufgescheuert. Ich laufe 40-70km pro Woche. Auch Abkleben oder Cremen hat nichts geholfen.Daher wollte ich eine Uhr mit Handgelenks-HFQ-Messung plus GPS - hier ist die Auswahl äusserst begrenzt am Markt.Positiv hervorzuheben ist die App bzw. natürlich auch die Internet-Site. Da hat Fitbit wirklich an fast alles gedacht. Ausserdem geht die Daten-Synchronisierung unglaublich schnell. Verglichen mit dem Garmin Forerunner 610 ist die GPS-Suche auch super schnell abgeschlossen.Die automatische Schlaferkennung ist ebenfalls toll und funktioniert wirklich.Nun zum Negativen:Die HFQ-Messung funkt einfach nicht richtig. Weder Indoor am Laufband, noch beim Laufen draussen. Ich habe Intervalltrainings mit 17km/h hingelegt, doch die Uhr reagiert nicht. Selbstverständlich habe ich sie richtig angelegt, die Belastungen länger durchgehalten etc.. Einzig in alltäglichen Situationen (Schlafen, Gehen, etc) scheint sie die HFQ richtig zu messen. Doch das ist für eine Sportlerin wie mich einfach zu wenig - ist für jeden sportlich halbwegs aktiven Menschen nicht brauchbar.Die Surge taugt aus meiner Sicht als ActivityTracker, jedoch nicht für Sportler. Schlussendlich müssen bei einer Sportuhr die Basics richtig funktionieren, und das sind aus meiner Sicht HFQ-Messung und GPS. Alles andere sind tolle Features, doch können über das grundlegende Manko nicht hinweg täuschen.

a distanza di 7 mesi, posso scrivere solo cose negative.Usandolo semplicemente come orologio da polso, perché vado solo una/due volta alla settimana a camminare, il cinturino al di sopra del display è saltato fuori, il bluetooth non si connette più per la sincronizzazione con l'app e pensare che praticamente lo uso solo come sveglia vibrazione per non svegliare il mio compagno. Senza connessione bluetooth non posso nemmeno modificare la sveglia. Si è rivelato davvero un pessimo acquisto.

Am Anfang war ich sehr begeistert von dieser Fitnesswatch. Ich habe sie bis jetzt beinahe auf den Tag genau 6 Monate . Die Funktionen wirkten auf mich exakt und die Statistiken die man erstellt bekam mit der zugehörigen App waren spaßig und durchaus sinnvoll. Die Uhr ist sehr stylisch und der Tragekomfort für mich sehr angenehm.Kurzum ich liebe dieses Teil, aber :1. Das Glas zerkratzt sehr schnell, da hätte man um den Preis sicherlich was Anständiges verbauen können.2. Es löst sich der Kleber von der Gummierung am Band, somit wirft es häßliche Blasen. Was soll das ?3. In dem halben Jahr hatte ich des öfteren mal Probleme mit der Synchronisation zw. Uhr und App, zwar nicht Schlimm, doch nervig.Insgesamt ist die Qualität gut, doch die Verarbeitung schlampig bis minderwertig.Um etwaige Ersatzteile zu wechseln bzw. Reparaturen zu tätigen ist es notwendig die Uhr einzuschicken, da Gehäuse und Bänder verschraubt, verklebt und was weis ich noch Alles ist.Schade, dieses Produkt hätte eigentlich das Zeug zu einem Spitzenprodukt werden zu können, aber hier wurde eindeutig an wichtigen Stellen gespart.Für diesen Preis ein halbes Jahr gehalten...tztztz....
