The media could not be loaded. No playing around on this one. The body tubes are heavy duty as is the ratchet. There’s no fine tuning by turning threaded rods on the pads, so take care to leave it 1/2-1” short before throwing the ratchet over. Otherwise you might blow your side panels out, it’s that strong.The tube diameters are larger than any other load bar I’ve purchased (at very similar prices), so the Load Dividers fit well. Get two. Face one forward, the other backward for additional versatility.

I had the older style that you turn for many years until it rusted up. Decided to pay a little more and this style works so much better. Hope it holds up. It's much beefier and heavier too.

Seems to be a great product. So far I really like it, it works great.

Kind of wobbles a bit

So I initially bought one of those crappy ratchet bars which sorta held but was flimsy and just garbage. So for a little more $$ I saw this one. I like to read through the negative reviews and saw a lot of people complaining it was hard to put in place, they couldn't adjust it properly, was either too tight or too loose, etc. All I can say is don't listen to all that BS unless you're very weak or have very poor coordination. I literally just came in from installing this bar for the first time and it took me 30 seconds tops. It was so easy. All I did was release the handle, Slide it out until it had a small space, push the left side over against the bed with my left hand and with my right hand pulled the handle. Done, that was it. As long as you consistently eyeball a small space on one side I see no reason why this should be any kind of chore.So yeah I have used it once and can already tell its a million times better than the other flimsy bar. I spent way more time screwing with the flimsy bar cause it never wanted to get tight, the ratchet would just pop up and out.Edit: 2 month update: This bar is amazing! I've moved it from the front to the back, taken it out. Load stuff up put it back. It's easy to use. It's strong as hell and it doesn't go anywhere. It's easy to press it against one wall, leave a slight gap on the other side and flip the bar down. I really don't see how people struggle with this???

Update: I like this bar enough after two years of use that I did not hesitate to order another one when I bought another truck. Yes this bar is kinda of tricky to get the perfect adjustment but once you dial it in they hold tight with no slipping.The 4016 Hitchmate cargo stabilizer is an impressive cargo bar, heavy locking ratchet device with simple and solid adjustment. No comparison to the cheaply made cargo bars that are available in the local brick and mortar stores. I ordered two of the full size 4016 bars and they fit my Toyota Tundra with factory bed liner perfectly. No problems with slippage in any location in the bed and more than sturdy enough for any cargo that I will carry. I ordered one of the hitchmate cargo stabiload divider bars to use with the 4016 bar after receiving the bars based upon the quality build of the 4016. This is the best cargo bar for consumer use available... hands down a winner.

Took no time to install. Have had no issues of it moving during driving. Easy to remove and reinstall as well.

Tenía dos opciones en la página, primero me fui por la más sencilla de otra marca y realmente dejó que desear, la cambié por esta y buenísima, es sólida, ciertamente un poco pesada recomiendo ponerla entre dos y como dicen otras opiniones, si no te pones buzo doblas la lámina porque esta muy sólida, pero no hace falta tan apretada para que ajuste, quedó perfecta que hasta compré otra.

Very good quality truck bed restraint bar. I prefer this locking mechanism to some that more pure ratchet mechanisms rendering them tougher to remove than to install. This one pushes out a bit as you close the mechanism, meaning you ideally leave it just a bit loose before locking it and it snugs up. It is much easier to remove this way. Very solid unit when installed in my Tacoma truck bed!

I have the smaller style $30 cargo bar to hold plastic storage bins from sliding around in my truck bed and it does the trick for light stuff and is a one handed install but it bends and wiggles around and no way would I use it to secure anything.If you want to haul heavier or awkward things this Hitchmate cargo bar is a beast.I have used it in in both my landscape trailer to secure things like ladders to the floor or truck tires. Once you get the hang of the space the bar requires to clamp it is simple and when set it holds. It is heavier than the low cost cargo bars and takes 2 hands to install but their is a reason. This thing is built like a tank.I also have the accessory clamp that attaches at a 90 and it is a great add on for stabilizing things from sliding side to side.I'm very pleased with this bar and when you pick it up or put it beside the $30 cargo bars the difference is easy to see. This bar is very well built.Slide it out until it touches the side of the bed, then pull it back a few teeth and test the clamp, it too tight or loose flip back and move one more tooth and try again.After using it a few times I can get it right in one go.The release mechanism works very well allowing for a secure clamp set up and quick removal.So far I'm impressed.

This is the most effective cargo bar I’ve ever purchased. Ease of adjustment, and a solid purchase on bedsides, make it very useful.
