Deadlands 20th Anniversary (S2P10020) Hardcover – October 25, 2017

Note that this is a reprint of the Revised Edition, and that is a good thing. Both the Players Book and Marshals Book are included with a very nice index and all pages and art are in full color. I wish it had included the updated Firearms list from Law Dogs but as I said this is a reprint of the two revised edition core books. Some slight differences as some of the art is new and it contains the newer map of the weird west. Binding is solid and mine arrived in advertised condition.

deadlands is one of my favorite RPG's thematically. The rules of this edition fit it so well. This is the original ruleset, not the savage worlds or d20 versions. In my opinion, this is the pinnacle, pun intended, of the game. Plus it has beautiful colorized versions of the original art from the core books.

What you have here is a full color reprint of the classic Deadlands Revised Players Guide and the Marshall's Guide with some art from Deadlands Reloaded. It would have been great if they included the rules for Kung-Fu and Voodoo, but otherwise it is awesome.

Rating the product, not the game: the artwork and narrative style of the book is worth the buy, and is enough to make you want to sit down and play, and provides a ton of content. But in the first 10 pages I discovered several typographical errors. I’m generally not a stickler for this sort of thing, but in an anniversary edition and at this price, I do expect better.

Gorgeous book. Haven’t gotten to the point where I can deep dive into it, but it is high quality and thick with information. I’m looking forward to playing it with some friends.

I had enjoyed Deadlands and Hell on Earth since roughly 99 or 2000. This version has some books combined with the original player's guide. It is a great book for fans of the RPG

Crunchy, but an interesting and stylish system. Very thematic throughout, not just flat text.
