It actually works well! Impressed! Even after a few months of rippin
After a street retune, my 97 Miata with the GT2871 made strong power from 4k-7k. Spool is slow. Not a good turbo for driving around town. It's great for big power and track duty.Pros- Simple design, works well, and cheap. I like how there is plenty of flexibility when reclocking and locating the WG actuator bracket. With a upgraded 14psi WG actuator, EBC, and a solid tune... this turbo really packs a punch on my 97 Miata.Cons- The waste gate hole needs ported to prevent boost creep. The thread pitch for the oil feed is a goofy pitch which makes it difficult to find the correct oil feed fitting. They didn't do a great job at removing the metal shavings from the machine work.Notes: My datalog shows the WG actuator that it comes with opening at 6.8 PSI. Use an OEM Nissan 4 bolt T25/28 gasket. The metal gaskets that come with the turbski are paper thin. If you use them, you'll develop exhaust leaks. Don't use cheap aluminum oil / coolant fitting. Steel or stainless steel is a must. Otherwise, you can't tighten the aluminum fittings tight enough without them breaking.I will edit my review as time rolls by. But for the past few weeks, I've enjoyed the China turbo.Edit: Did a trackday, went to the dragstrip. The car felt slower then my previous setup. The numbers at the 1/8th didnt lie. Something was off. Did a data log with a few pulls, sent it to my tuner and he added timing and leaned it out. Car felt way better. Felt TOO good. Felt like a rod was going to let loose. So over the winter I removed the engine, did a full build, and went with an EFR turbo. The china charger performed great for the few months I ran it. Now it's sitting on the shelf waiting for the next project to be put on.

Well worth the money from my experience
So I bought a Old school greddy kit for my 99 Right hand drive civic hatch . B16b motor. I was very skeptical because the reviews aren’t great. But just hold on here. This turbo may be blowing on people because the lack of knowledge of turbos, or oil feed. I have beat on this turbo for about 1000 miles now and she is holding on with no shaft play, no oil burn or anything . Waste gate is set to about 10ish psi from what I can see on my gauge . Now this is a t28 turbo so be sure your manifold is t28 or it will not fit. I had to buy a t28 specific due to the style turbo kit and me retaining my ac/ps. Honestly If it blows I’ll buy another for this price. This isn’t a race car, it’s a fun street/daily driver. Some week days and every weekend I drive it. So far so good. If it blew tomorrow I wouldn’t be mad I’ve had a hell of a lot of fun on it.
