Great Item.
Great for travel and home/dorm use. The alarm is super loud. It should wake the neighbors and the dead. The batteries are not included, but are easy to buy on Amazon. Also easy to change the batteries. Highly recommend.

Useful and safe alarm doorstopper for hotels
I didn't need to use this alarm doorstopper although it traveled well. I would suggest people tape the button where the ON and OFF button so the alarm doesn't get turned On accidentally due to jostling around in the suitcase. It works well with carpets or wood floors.

Inexpensive, tough and reliable
I purchased one for my entry door and another for sliding glass door that pleads to outside porch. Easy to use. Best security device I purchased

long lasting, very loud alarm
Loud and long lasting. We bought this a second time. The previous one still works even after five years. The device is long and tapers to a very slim end so that it can easily fit under doors even if the gap is small. Slight negative: although the device is heavy, it is still necessary to brace something heavy against the alarm so that an intruder cannot open the door slowly and quietly the device slides away with no alarm sound if the floor is wood or ceramic.

Door entryway lip height matters!
Make sure your door is low enough so that it presses against the lower front tip portion of the silver aluminum trigger of the alarm.If your door sits on an entryway lip, so it's elevated in relation to the inside ground level, and hence will only touch the higher back end of the silver trigger when opened, then the alarm will not sound off.In other words, you would think that having any part of the silver aluminum trigger being touched by the door would set off the alarm, but that's not true. Only the front lower tip area activates the alarm, and not the back part that's higher up and closer to the alarm speaker.Otherwise it seems built well enough for the price. The alarm sound is very loud, no way you won't be woken up to it.

Good for buying you time so you can at least be able to defend yourself.
