Superficial, Inaccurate, Exploitative.
The book tries to exploit the vacuum of information around Lenny Kravitz. This vacuum is the conscious will of the same Kravitz, as Kravitz believes the art should speak for itself and that he has no business sharing information about his private life in great detail. The book should simply steer away from what it doesn’t know to be a fact, and makes attempt at adding details that are just not true, hoping not to get caught out. This applies to tour setlists, for example, and it really got me to lose my patience when I read the Cindy Blackman appears in the video for “Low”. This is non-sense of the highest order. Unforgivable.
