Great Spincaster
Well made, functions very well. I volunteer in a free fishing program in Philadelphia that uses Zebco spincasters. The way they are sometimes inadvertently misused by learners, I’ve become adept at disassembling and untangling the line inside. But they are sturdy, so I bought a couple to use along with my spinning reels.

Great For Kids
Bought this for my youngest Granddaughter to use, and I think it's going to work fine. I took it out for a "test run" before I turn it over to her, and it did well. The 10-lb test they spool it with is a bit much, but I think it's big enough, as is the handle, so I think she'll due fine with it. I caught several fish on my test run, and everything worked great, including the drag.

The classics never die!
The classic Zebco push-button reel, just the way you remember it. As easy to use and inexpensive as it always ways. Mine went on a telescoping, travel pole to bring along for any kiddos (young or old) who decide to join me.It's fine right out of the box, but the 15lb. Zebco it comes with line is a tad too heavy and too stiff for my taste. I swapped it for some 8lb berkley line I like better.

I like these, and the price is very affordable.

Does not cast well at all.
This reel does not cast well at all. Not certain what the problem is but it feels like the line simply does not roll off the spool totally free. It's like the line and the spool don't work together well but I don't know which is the problem or maybe both. I realize it's very inexpensive but just not worth the money as is right out of the package. Spend a few more bucks and get something that can at least cast freely.

My last Zebco was garbage. They've upped their game.
The last Zebco I purchased 15 years ago died after 3 fishing trips. I gave up on them. I was in a pinch for a new spincast for a friend's kid. I took a flyer on this one and I must say, I'm impressed. Much better than the garbage they were putting out a while ago. This one has made it several months with kid style abuse. Way to improve Zebco. It's not as good as my 1980 model 33, but they'll never make them like that again.
