Kapro 317 Adjustable Drywall T-Square - 48"

At first impression, the product is very well made with heavy aluminum track, the finish is clean and of high quality, and the markings are crisp and easy to read, even for my aging eyes. Putting it to use was a pleasant experience. Everything works well and smooth, there was no misalignment of components, 0 deg is exactly 90 deg tested against a known quality square. Straight is straight so line marking can be drawn with confidence. So far, the quality and finish exceed my expectation for the price of the tool. Time will tell as I use more of it, and more likely than not, it will see some unintentional abuse in use. But for now, it's a great buy!

I saw a few people saying the plastic pieces on this seemed cheap and unsubstantial. That's really not the case at all. It's plastic that's thick enough that it's not going to break without something pretty hard hitting it. So yeah, it's going to be fine. What I do like is that it keeps the square setting very well. Sometimes with adjustable tools like this it never will give you the right square angle, this one pops into it with a preset notch and it seems to be very accurate. Very happy with it.

I like having the full length to guide a long cut, and I can adjust the head to line it up with the edge of the drywall. It took me a minute to get used to positioning it, but once I held it firmly, my pencil line stayed straight and the cut fit the opening better than my usual ruler-and-guessing method. I checked the measurements twice, since I didn’t want to waste a piece of drywall.

This is made from a heavy enough gauge of aluminum that it maintains it's shape. It's intuitive and easy to use due to the good fit. The angle markings are easy to read and when the square is set at 90 degrees it snaps into place and once screwed in, doesn't move. This a is a sturdy and accurate square that is pricier than non-adjustable drywall t-squares, but is much more durable and accurate.

Very handy and accomplishes what is it is intended to. Occasionally it is off by a degree or so but not enough to matter and easily corrected for. After a while, the red end piece chipped and I think that is contributing to the inaccuracy. I’d recommend an all aluminum/metal construction. Then it would be perfect. Like the first one so much I bought a second!

Really nice tool

Handy accurate tool. Perfect measurement every time

This is a great tool and very nice quality. Heavy duty and gets the job done a lot easier. Every drywall job needs one of these in my opinion.
