TakaminePro Series 3 P3NC NEX Body Acoustic Electric Guitar with Case

I bought the P3NC a week before Christmas. It came strung with the D'Addario® EXP 16 Coated Phosphor Bronze (.012-.053 Gauges) strings. I was disappointed with tone at first. Strings sounded dead. I'm assuming the strings were old, maybe a year or more even though the guitar was brand new. My son recommended using Elixir strings. I restrung the guitar with the Elixir Polyweb extra light strings. These strings made the guitar ring and play lot easier play. The sustain on these strings is unbelieveable. I have had a lot people compliment me on this guitar. The neck is asymmetrical with a satin finish and a nut width of 1.675". I have small hands and the neck is extremely comfortable. The satin finish allows your hand to glide along the without sticking. The setup was perfect out of the box. The split bone (not plastic) saddle and the pinless bridge really adds to the intonation of this guitar. Listen to the YouTube video of this guitar and you will get an idea of how this guitar actually sounds. I really believe this guitar is the best value on the market today. The guitar sounds great unplugged or using an amp. I have the Fishman Loudbox Mini and it really pairs up nice with the P3NC.

From a slightly more serious tone of expression >>> I honestly believe that Takamine guitars are the absolute best you can buy for the quality received vs debt paid.... And so do many professional entertainers from the small coffee house to the big stage. I happen to be one of those acoustic players out there who loves the subtle mellow warm tone of a solid cedar top vs the brighter attack of other type woods..... We are few in numbers but I've happily managed to win over some converts and drag them along to the other side.
