Brain Games - Large Print Crossword Puzzles (Purple)

I've always done crossword puzzles from the newspapers and really enjoy learning new words and figuring out even the most difficult. I can't always complete the harder ones (Sunday NY/LA Times) and this Brain Games Crossword book is no different. Neither too difficult nor too easy - just right. I'm 63 yrs old and find I can complete most of the puzzles, although sometime I do have to ponder an answer for a day or two.This is the second Brain Games book I've purchased in the last couple months and I'll get another as soon as I'm done with this one. I do recommend!

These are not necessarily beginner crossword puzzles. I bought this for my boyfriend because he wanted to try crosswords. He IS enjoying it, though some of the puzzles are tough. (Even for me, and I've been doing crosswords since I was a kid.) The book is great because it opens flat, and it is nice to have the larger print.EDIT: my boyfriend actually sort of LIKES that they are somewhat difficult for him. He is learning things (at 61!), and enjoys that aspect. Puzzles that are easy are not fun.

I have one complaint. I had ordered a new, not used, book but when I received my order, the first puzzle had been halfway completed. I guess a worker at the warehouse had gotten bored while on break. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I cannot say I am angry, just thankful this order was for me and not purchased as a gift to someone else. Other than that, the book is in excellent condition and I will buy from this company again. The binding is spiral which is nice. I do wish the puzzle and the clues were on the same page so you can work the puzzle without constantly flipping the book over or having it open so both pages show, it would make it easier when having it in your lap and when traveling.

The quality of this crossword book is fantastic but the clues are too difficult for me to be enjoyable.

Some hard - some easy. Lots of fun.

This book is great. Print is large enough to easily see and I love the binding so the book stays open to the page you want. The whole family is working on these puzzles!

Spiral book very easy to use

Good size, easy to read, what I don’t like the clues are on one page and the puzzle is on the opposing page, I was hoping with it being spiral bound that there would be a puzzle and clue on the same page for easy folding.

Very easy to read and puzzles challenging

Fine in layout and print but it's very American-centric in the sense that there are puzzles which you'd need to have grown up in the US to know the answers. This is clearly a good or bad thing depending but my British Mum gave up and I couldn't help either!

I bought it for my older friend and he enjoyed to solv it. And I'm bying different options now. There is a good disgn and large print which is comfortable for vision. I'm recommened it.

My Dad has a hard time seeing regular crosswords but loves this series. This was the second one I bought for him and he sits and plays in the book sporadically all evening. He is full of useless knowledge and finds they are a good mix of difficulty, with some puzzles he wizzes through and others makes him think for a couple days.

Nice big font, challenging clues, but some very American specific clues which isnt my favourite. otherwise, great!
