Q: Is this the same as the Gonge top made for up to age 15 or is this a smaller version for younger kids?

My 10 year old is still able to use it. But she is only about 70 lbs. Up until a year or two ago, both kids fit comfortably. It's pretty sturdy, but I'm not sure a 15 year old would fit well. What would he/she use it for?

Q: can children stand in it for another balance exercise or does it only work with sitting?

It is possible to stand in it and rock. I'm not going to speculate about the safety of doing that as it is very unstable when standing in it. I guess it would depend on the age of the child and his stability as to whether that would be advisable. I don't allow my 2-year-old grandson to stand.
