The best Bible study out there.
Inductive Bible Study is life changing. Precept Ministries hits a home run every time. I can't pick a favorite because they are all so good, but the books on Mark are excellent!

no-homework Bible Study perfect for small groups
In preparation for Easter this Sunday, I had the privilege of reading and reviewing "Jesus: Understanding His Death and Resurrection" by Kay Arthur and David Arthur. It's a 6 week, no-homework Bible Study perfect for small groups, Sunday school lessons, or even a family Bible study.Just as the cover implies, this is a very simple study to work through. The book is somewhat small in size measuring approximately 8 inches tall. It includes 88 pages of study meant to be broken down into 6 sessions, but can also be divided into 8 or 10 weeks if need be.The book begins with simple instructions on how to follow the study. It then goes through the Passover from Exodus, and how it helped to set God's people free. It then explains the Passover from the New Testament and how it will be different from any other Passover before. What's really cool about this study is that it's pretty much all-in-one. What I mean by that is that it includes the Bible verses in it's text. There is an "Observation" period where the leader reads through the Bible verses, and then the "Discussion" where the leader asks questions about what he just read. There are also small sections called "Insight" where it explains certain parts of the story that readers may not be familiar with. At the end of the chapter is "Wrap It Up", which is pretty self explanatory. All in all, this is a very simple Bible Study that's easy to understand. I think it would be excellent for a family Bible Study considering the way it's set up. It explains things very well, so it would be ideal for someone who has children 10 and older. I rate this book as 5 stars.I received this book for free from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest unbiased opinion.

Jesus--to study Him is good!
We are nearing "Passion Week", the time of the year we take a close look at the final days of Jesus on earth before He died on the cross and was resurrected, all glory to God! I've had this book about a year, and have studied the events of Passion week in depth. It's a heart-wrenching, heart-breaking, and heart-lifting story; a true story! This short book, "Jesus: Understanding His Death and Resurrection" is a 6-week Bible study that would be a perfect study (individually or in a group) to begin March 6, of this year, 2017, which would lead up to the 6 weeks before Easter. As far a reviewing this book, I only have a few comments! First, I'm not sure of the authors' (Kay and David Arthur) reason for all the special markings of Scripture (ie. "t" for Jesus, "w" for woman, "x" for betrayals, etc.). I found that very distracting, even taking some of the focus off the actual study. I realized this is their Bible study method, but that didn't work for me! The various maps of Jerusalem throughout the study was very helpful, keeping track of Jesus' footsteps through the week. Most of the study questions are general in nature, though occasionally a question was asked that caused me to look at a familiar passage in a different way, from a new angle. I appreciate their final "wrap up", page 88: "Beloved, do you understand that because Jesus Christ rose from the dead, never to die again, if you believe you will do the same? Just think: you are going to spend eternity with the One who so loved you that He laid down His life for you!"--->I received this book for free from Blogging for Books in exchange for my personal use and review.
