expensive but saves a trip to the store
These vermicelli noodles ordered online cost me three times more than what I pay at the Asian store. The key to cooking it without clumping: soak the content of the package in a bowl of room temperature-water until the noodles are just soft enough. Drain all the water out. Using kitchen shears, clip the noodles two or three times to shorten the length and make the cooking easier. Then the MOST IMPORTANT THING: toss the uncooked noodles with three tablespoons of vegetable oil (I use olive oil). Then begin the cooking: heat oil in a skillet, add crushed ginger, garlic, crab meat, carrots julienne, sliced soaked shitake mushrooms, the vermicelli bean thread noodles, oyster sauce, green onion, toss till noodles soften. Enjoy!

If you can't find it locally ...
The price on this product was a little high but it's hard to find in the heart of Missouri, and it was delivered to our doorstep in two days. So it was worth it!

Product Is Great - Item Sent Was Incorrect
This is really great bean thread in general. I got used to it when I lived near a market that carried these imported items in the Dallas area. The pack of eight was not what was sent. The pack of eight is not what is pictured either. Perhaps the ad needs to be reworded. The store apologized and acknowledged that this was wrong. Since it is such a delicate item, I kept it and the store gave me a $4.50 refund off my $17 dollars. I appreciate that. But I can not purchase there again.
