Beautiful illustrations.
This large rectangular book is filled with colorful illustrations. It is perfect for a read a loud for pre-schoolers or lower elementary. My 3 year old who has a great interest in space loved it. Older elementary school students should fiind the facts interesting and illustrations interesting. There is a time line and glossary at the back. My one criticism would be that they color highlightvarious words but there is not a definition of the word or if it is a common word like traveling, why would that be highlighted? I still gave it a 5 star review as it is well bound and for $7.44 it was a deal.

Great Space Book!
My sons are 3 & 4 and they love this book! It's colorful and informative - I enjoy it too! Sturdy pages and a fun space theme! It's nice too because if the learning material gets a little heavy, they can always just name or count the planets or do their colors. Highly recommend!

Beautiful book
I bought this for my 3-year-old daughter who currently loves all things space and rockets. The pictures are beautiful and the book has held up well to some heavy use, even clumsy page turning and carrying by my 18-month-old. There's a lot of neat information, and you can easily pare it down for younger children or read it all for older ones.

The book front cover shows the planets in the wrong order.
My 4 year old pointed out that the book front cover had the planets in the wrong order. It should be Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars and then Jupiter - not Saturn as show on this book cover. This is the reason I am taking a star off. Apart from that great quality. My son old loves it inspite of the wrong order of planets on the cover. The picture clarity and the style in which this book is written caters to a child's curiosity. Because the paper itself is black with white letter fonts, it adds to the space theme.

My 3 Year Old Loves This Book!
This book says it's good for 5+, but my son, who started to show an interest in space when he was 2-almost-3, LOVES it. He's almost 4 now and still enjoys reading it almost every day. There is one very annoying typo (humans is misspelled on one page) but other than that it is a good and informative book. When I read it to my son I don't read everything on every page. So the next time, I can read the things I didn't read the last time. It has a lot of information, but has helped my son memorize the order of the planets, and learn facts about each planet. It also talks about nebulas, craters, space tourism, and of course space shuttles and rockets. In the back of the book is a timeline of space related events and the final pages include definitions of things mentioned in the book.I highly recommend this book. It's fun for both of us to read. It has nice, bright photos and is large - but not too big. All in all a wonderful book for any kid!

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!
I LOVE this book and I know my daughter will too, when I give it to her for her 7th birthday in 2 weeks! But I might not be able to wait that long lol. Shes been obsessed with EVERYTHING SPACE related and all she's been watching on YouTube! We dont have a space book yet,and so glad to come across this, and for such a great price too! I'm sure this will be her new FAVORITE book we'll read every night before bed! I love that the pages are the THICK paper so it wont be easily ripped,if you have young kids who loves to turn the pages a little to fast lol. It came super fast and has so much information that any kid who loves space, will love to read/learn! I hope my picture uploaded right. I wanted to include a few pictures that I think any buyer would like to know about the book, without posting every page lol. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

Love this book
Love this book. It can be easy for a 4 year old as I don't read everything and let him point out what he knows, It's also great for the 6 year old who can handle more details. Me? I'm a grandma having a ball learning all this again. You'll have to check on Pluto! Things have changed. Great book for beginners or those that already know a lot. :-)
