Progressively clogged bathroom sink that did not respond to liquid Zep. Minimal flow. 1st treatment resulted in worse blockage- stuck a skewer down to loosen things up but very slow to drain. Added second treatment and let sit overnight. Next day added a cup of hot water, additional stir with skewer, and voila! Fully open flow! Used to use this for maintenance and had stopped, never again, this stuff is great, non caustic and septic safe.

This product was suggested by a friend. I decided to give it a try at one of my rental properties and I have determined that it is a good preventative maintenance product so this is something that sent out to my renters and suggested they use it every three months to prevent any major issues, as far, they have been no plumbing issues since I’ve started utilizing this. DEP says this is the same product as the "Drain Care" in the white jar--just a different label & name. I loved that product--it works very well. I rented a house that had sluggish drains--especially the bathtub. I used it for three days and then it plugged up almost all the way. Perfect--and I do mean "perfect". That meant it was working and pieces of buildup fell off and started to plug things up. Sure enough I plungered it and saw all kinds of pieces come out. Drain ran clear.I prefer the powder over the liquid because this is bacteria and I'll bet the shelf life is way better and it's "fresher" stuff so it would work better. I'm assuming the bacteria is in stasis when in powder. It's probably alive and dying in liquid form. I really don't mind mixing it with water. I just wished the big box stores would continue to sell the powder (they switched to liquid).

I bought this enzymatic cleaner maybe fifteen years ago and it worked really well. This time around it looks the same because the packaging container graphics are different, but the product does not work as well. I had to resort to using a snake and disassembling the bathroom sink to get faster drainage of water.

I live in a condo and use this product once a month as a preventive to keep my kitchen plumbing from developing clogs. It is easy to use—just desolve the product in water, pour down the drain, let it stand over night. It also comes in a liquid form which some of my neighbors prefer.

I have used this product, and its predecessor, for many years. It works gently, but effectively. When we had a septic tank, it removed clogs, kept the sewer lines clear, and kept the septic tank healthy. We waited too many years to have the septic tank pumped out, but the honey wagon guy said it still was as clean as most ones that are pumped frequently. Now we live in a new house with contactor-style toilets. They keep clogging up easily.. Until I get around to replacing them, this keeps things working. I had used up the supply we brought with us and was unable to find it at the local big box stores; I was happy to find it in a two pack online. Now I may not need to replace the toilets.
