Live In Miami [2 CD/DVD Combo] [Deluxe Edition]

I love listening to these songs over and over! The only thing I don't like is how they try to make the DVD look 'hipster' adding random shapes while they're singing. I can see why someone might like it, but I normally prefer concert videos without random effects. The snippets -or whatever you'd call them- are entertaining. I'm more interested in the message of the songs than the band itself though it has great performers. They have come up with some amazing lyrics and bring new life to some of the older songs. I'm relatively new listening to Hillsong and Christian music.I never liked Christian music before going to Elevation Church in Charlotte and listening to their music and Hillsong's music. I always listened to dark or ambient or electronica. I haven't found Christian music that I felt matches to the other music I listen to in complexity. But Hillsong is a band capable of reaching near perfection within the genre of Christian music. They make me hope I can find more music like theirs.

Once again Hillsong United has done what they do best and that is entertain you while feeding your soul at the same time. They deliver a powerful message while hitting you with powerful music and there is no doubt in what they are trying to say. This live effort is obviously for the young and the young at heart. But mostly for the young! I am an old Rock & Roller so I fit in the "Young At Heart Group". I have to admit my jumping days are long over. I think just about any age group would be able to glean at least something out of this music. It is for sure in the range from middle school age on up through young adults. This would be great entertainment for youth groups, Bible camps or small groups. It also would make a great gift for someone you would like to lead to the Lord without bringing them to church or making them feel pressured into something. Hillsong is the best when it comes to getting the salvation message across while keeping you interested in the music. I recommend just about anything that Hillsong has done. They seem to just get better and better.

I am a massive fan of Hillsong United and I was able to attend one of their Aftermath concerts, which I thoroughly enjoyed. This album is like being at one of their concerts and just enjoying the presence of God.I don't think it is as good as the I Heart Revolution: With Hearts As One album, which had a similar feel to it but it is still quite a good album.The downside is nothing original and most of the songs are performed like they were on Aftermath. The addition of the DVD was welcomed as you get to see and experience the concert not just hear what was going on.This album would be great for beginners to Hillsong United to give them a taste of the songs and for true fans who just love their music but for the casual fan you will probably want to give it a miss as there is nothing new.

I stumbled upon Hillsong while using iTunes radio and got hooked on Oceans from the Zion cd. I then found my way to Live in Miami on YouTube and it has been on constant repeat since. I initially held back from buying the cd becuase the full Live in Miami concert is available for free on YouTube. But I listen to this album so much that I needed a copy that I can play anytime and anywhere. Amazon AutoRip is great and gave me immediate digital access even though I still like having the physical cd ( I admit that I'm a bit old school).If you like worship music you will love this CD. If you are a Hillsong fan, this is a must have. This is one of the best live performances that I have seen in a while and I have seen many (recorded and in person): Fred Hammond, Mark Shultz, Israel, Tye Tribbet, Mercy Me, Martha Munizzi, Marvin Sapp, Jason Nelson, etc(Most) Favorite tracks are:Like an AvalancheRhythms of GraceInside OutHosanna

This cd/dvd has been such a blessing to me for the past week or so. I highly recommend it to anyone! I've heard many people question, and complain, about the fact that the songs on this album have already been published before. However, that means absolutely nothing. Lots of the songs on this album were recorded in the studio, so you are now able to listen to these songs with a live feeling. The price is also very good for the amount of songs you are getting (22 songs). Hillsong did a real good job of capturing the essence of the worship night in Miami, the presence of God in the place is very evident on the dvd, and you can feel the passion of the people in the room. This is an amazing album that is a great collection of Hillsong UNITED's finest songs from the past few years. It is definitely a must have.
