Figured even if they were a bit flimsy it would be worth it for the price for something I hopefully wouldn't need long term.Pleasantly surprised! Like other reviewers said, these little lights really pack a punch in brightness and the flashing SOS would be brought enough to draw attention. I haven't tried them outside but indoors they light up a room well and the flashlight function is especially bright. Haven't been able to test how long the battery life lasts.They are actually a flashlight until unfolded.They are a little bulkier and heavier than i expected but i think that's a good thing. I was expecting light and flimsy. The accordion part with the netting on it could probably be easily damaged though without care, like kiddos.The outside has kind of a silicone type smooth finish. (Not important but they are also really satisfying to unlock open and close- see video)Buying more of these for camping and to keep around the house for a power outage.

These are great to use in power outages. Batteries last a long time and it only takes 2 to likght up my kitchen and living room enough to even read. What is also nice is they have a hook to hang them if working on something outside in the dark. If you close them they work great as a small flashlight. My daughter borrowed 4 of them and lit up a wooded area for a night photo shoot.

These are a perfect addition to our hurricane supplies. We tested them in our 2 car garage & one lantern lit it up pretty good. I would say use 2 in that space if you needed to see more of what you're doing, like playing a game or cooking. Love that they are flashlights too, with a low & high setting. We haven't used them to run out a set of batteries yet so I'm not sure of the battery life.

Bought these lamps to use when power goes out in our home. They are compact to store and put out some great light. Haven't had to use them yet, but it's nice to know they are here when we need them.

Very compact and convenient. Pop up nicely and love the 3 different light settings. I particularly like the frosted look instead of clear. I have very sensitive eyes and clear, bright lights are irritating and sometimes painful. These fit nicely in my suitcase.

Great for camping. Kids loved it

Thought they were solar powered but they are not, just battery powered
