Jim Dunlop Glass Slide (34204000001)

I'm trying out a bunch of different slides and figured I would give the shorter one a go. Fit wise this is perfect for my 9.5 size ring finger, so at least I found what size will work. In practice, using it is slightly difficult for me because I find myself muting strings that shouldn't be muted due to the shorter length of the slide. If short slides are your thing, this will work well. For me, I think I need to keep trying a few others to see what will work. I do like that it's slightly thinner and not heavy as well, which will also mean I will break it more easily!

Works great on my electric and standard acoustic guitars, as well as my concert ukulele. Because it's a short slide, it won't fit across all the strings (as expected), but with practice you can slide on 2-3 strings at a time for melodies and solos. Awesome!One note - the slide is less effective on wound strings; I had my baritone in mind, but found it only works on the highest strings. No regrets - still works there, as well as with all my other guitars.

It’s a good quality slide - don’t get me wrong, but I’m not alone in preferring to knuckle slide to be used on my ring finger. Can’t use this size for that purpose- and I could not locate any Dunlop knuckle slide with a larger inside diameter.I would think knuckle slides would be available im multiple sizes.

Just note this is a SHORT slide, it'll only cover 3 strings at a time. The wall thickness is also on the thinner side, and makes me want a thicker one.

Way smaller than I though. It’s actually hard to keep it in a comfortable spot on your finger. I actually ended up getting a full size one.

Adds nice versatility between playing with my fingers and playing with a slide, only fits on my middle finger comfortably to where I can switch between both styles of playing. Takes some getting used to it, being as a technique you need to learn when playing slide is how to mute the strings behind the slide to keep them from ringing out. With this slide specifically, it presses a group of strings below the other strings making them a bit more difficult to mute.

El botnelek es corto. Bien, era de suponer. Permite articular el dedo y a veces pudes incluso pulsar con el mismo dedo alguna nota si eres abil. Pero no tiene sustain por lo tanto no suena lo bien que cabria esperar. Eso es debido a que el espesor del cristal. Tiene muy poco cristal.

Capisco che sia di vetro o simile, ma è pur sempre un materiale doppio. Lo avevo sul letto ed essendo trasparente non l'ho visto, sposto un pò le lenzuola e me lo ritrovo a pezzi per terra. Una bottiglia di liquore non si rompe mai quando cade e non è ammissibile che alla prima caduta l'oggetto si rompa, anche perché è impossibile che un oggetto trasparente non cada mai a terra.
