You can do this!
If you’ve ever looked at origami tessellations and thought, “I could never do that”, with this book YOU CAN. Mr. Garibi breaks it down into 1x molecules, 2x molecules, then 4x molecules to ease into some really cool projects. The illustrations are great. Along with this book, put some tant paper, small binder clips, and a scoring tool in your cart so you can get started right away.

Excelent
I have recieved the book a few weeks ago now, and as a teacher of Origami - I ammidiately took it to the class. The pupils are eager for a new tessellation resource - for there isn't much yet published in this field - and from the first moment the book is in constant use. The explanations make it relatively easy to follow even for pupils that don't have much experience with tessellations and the sketches are clear enough also for those who don't master English fluently. It seems like a great start for the middle level folders that want to dive "softly" into the endless and marvelous realm of Origami tessellations.

Great way to learn tessellations
This is a very good book if you are new to the tessellation world. The way you are taught the model by starting with the base molecule and building up to the 4x4 molecule helps you understand the process of folding even the complex modules presented in the book. This book is easier than the book "Origami Tessellations Awe-inspiring Geometric Designs" and less daunting yet the final results are still gorgeous.Building the models this way can also help you if you think of developing your own designs since it helps understand the process of building the tessellation.

Good book
A very good book to introduce you to the origami tessellation world. Ilan Garibi is a good teacher ( I took one of his class at origami convention ) and it shows in this book . The hand-drawn diagrams are also very nice and clear. Highly recommended for both novice and experienced folders.

Clear instructions and tons of models
Made several tessellations so far and loving the book. Explanations are clear and there are plenty of photos to help you along. There’s always a moment building these where you wonder if it’ll ever collapse into the right shape but then it finally pops into place and I got a great sense of achievement. Just make sure you precrease properly and it’s amazing!

Easy to understand and start folding.
The points that I liked are that it is easy to understand: Text and pictures are well prepared. You start from the basics and in no time you are folding complicated tessellations projects! I started on projects almost immediately after getting the book in my hands! And subsequently I bought the second book by the author as well. There is a wealth of information about the type of paper to use for such projects. Elefanthaut is kind of perfect and used mostly throughout the book.I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to wander in the world of origami tessellations!

Origami didactics masterpiece
If you like tesellations, you should buy Ilan’s book. It is a fantastic introduction if you’re new to them. It is also a refreshing take on how to teach origami: the diagrams show the folds, how best to fold the folds and advice on how to collapse. The 3D diagrams by Franziska Schwartz are very helpful and beautiful.I don’t ever fold tesellations and bought it anyway and don’t regret it.

Wonderful and easy origami tessellation book!
I fold since I was young and I find that the Garibi's book is one of the easiest and well designed book for origami beginners and enthusiasts that like tessellations (especially 3D tessellations). Each model is very clearly explained, first by showing how to fold the smallest tessellation unit, then with 2x2 and a 4x4 projects. The diagrams and explanations are easy to follow, very beautifully drawn by Franziska Schwarz and rich with tips from Ilan on how to fold the models. I am very happy that Ilan has collected many of his masterpieces in this beautiful book, for all of us that want to fold his models. A must buy.
