I got a Porter Cable so I know it ain't something wrong on MY end. These are just sloppy on it and they make it run LOUD. Not just for one belt either because I tried all 4 of them. I even tried running them backwards in case they were printed wrong. I mean, they seemed to cut but they would do it unevenly and remove more material on the leading edge of the workpiece making it impossible to get a 90 degree grind from it. Wound up getting a set of Milwaukees and hanging these up for backup. And, yes. The Milwaukees fit the way they're supposed to.

So I waited until I had used the 2×72 belts a couple of times before I wrote a review. I purchased 4 assorted belts ranging from 40g to 120, and all of them performed the same, the second time i used each belt it decided to separate right at the tape joint. Now i have 4 barely used belts that i have to try and figure out how to get them to stay taped long enough for me to wear out the belt. As far as the belt itself goes i have no complaints, seems sturdy enough. But the coming apart at the seams is a issue. Cost is good, quality is ok as far as the belt is concerned. But durability is a 1star. Not worth the money if the dont stay fastened together.

I have my Dads old Jiffy brand bench belt sander. Finding a 2X36 belt for it local was almost imposable. These a some of the best I've found. Glad to have found them.
