Perfect after slight modifications
I love this tower, but be careful if you have a clumsy kitty that lacks a certain grace when climbing up and down on stuff. The first time he tried to scale it we both quickly realized that the smooth wood panels although very pretty to look at, aren't the most practical. It's very unforgiving in the traction department and downright merciless when one is clinging for dear life off the side, grappling for any shred of grippable surface. Long live the king. Fortunately kitty walked away with only a bruised ego, but now he only climbs up at a snail's pace one platform at a time. What I ended up doing was placing a few adhesive furniture pads along the edges so that in the future, if he looses his footing along the way he's now able to pull himself up. I also used double sided adhesive tabs to secure the little fabric pad to the top platform which originally was only held in place by a small strip of velco in the center. With that resolved, this tower is pretty awesome. I live in a tiny apartment and this is the most amazing space saving solution for me and my cat. It looks lovely and fits in nicely with my mid century aesthetic. My kitty is quite tall but he has no problem getting in and out of the litter box hutch, he loves playing with the little dangly toy and looming over his kingdom from the top ledge. Assembly was a bit of a headache but totally manageable. The weight of the litter box at the bottom makes it super sturdy which you don't always get from your average cat tree. I departed slightly from the instruction manual by sticking the largest scratch post towards the front versus in the back so that it could be flush with the wall. Overall I'm very satisfied, if you have a tight living space and you love a modern look, this is perfect for you. I would just recommend adding a little extra support to the surfaces if you're not 100% confident in your kitty's acrobatic skills.

Nice item...except for the smell...
This item stunk so badly of toxic plastic, that I had to build it outside on my front porch. My home stunk of that smell, even after I moved it out, for roughly an hour. It was shockingly horrible.

cat-approved functional cat tree!
Almost didn’t order due to the iffy rating, but this was the only cat tree we could find with a litter box cabinet. For this feature and the price, we decided to take a risk and am so glad we did!The assembly was easy enough, once my partner figured out the orientation of the cabinet’s bottom panel (not sure if it was me or the instructions ;) ). From there, everything went together easily and we were pleasantly surprised by the sturdiness and quality.Only thing that didn’t assemble per the instructions was the cabinet’s magnetic closure: the pre-drilled holes for the magnet were at the bottom corner of the door, instead of centered along the edge. Wasn’t a dealbreaker though, as the magnet still catches and holds the door shut without any issue. Our cats were curious about this from the moment it came out of the box and took no time to acclimate to it. The cubby is spacious enough for one medium-sized cat, and the scratching posts have held up well so far to the daily use of both cats (almost one month in!). They don’t really play with the dangling toy, but that would depend on a cat-by-cat basis anyway.Highly recommend!

VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Expensive product for cheap and DEFECTIVE cat tree received.
Received defective item where holes were made too big on one of the boards so that the A screws do not fit. It was made as large as the bolt screws that screw in for sturdiness, way too large for the small A screws included. This made it so that the entire washroom/cabinet bottom is unable to stand sturdy, together, and assembled correctly. I am very disappointed by this as I have waited for the item to arrive for an extended amount of time now and the price of this particular cat tree is not cheap. I had much frustration and time spent trying to assemble the cat tree to realize I would need a whole new board in order for the cat tree to be put together correctly.

Incorrect hardware
Our new cat condo comes with a nice little bathroom area. The litter box area has a door that is impossible to hang because of the hinge pin being installed incorrectly. Unfortunately, the piece cannot simply be reversed.

Doesn't last
Not sturdy, crashed to the floor and broke into pieces whe the cat jumped off of it. He's 10lbs, perhaps this would work for a kitten.

Great new look and option
The premarked areas were not all done. My cat does not seem very interested in the climber.

Shoddy Parts Throughout
The cam lock nuts (think the metallic pucks which you use to assemble IKEA furniture) included were incredibly weak and five of them broke in the course of assembling this tree. Don't buy.
