Amazing Natural Hair-Matching Henna Product for Roots and Healthy Scalp
This brand and color is exactly the same as my natural color, it's amazing! No hard dye lines. I only have a little bit of white hair, so the other chemical salon color roots products were overkill, bland, and severely damaging to my hair and scalp. Inversely, Henna is wonderful because it works with your real hair color, adding color and diversity to your strands, based on their own natural color, giving an overall natural healthy shiny look. As the hair grows out, there is no noticeable hard line, and it blends so nicely. This henna looks very natural and lasts way longer than chemicals for doing roots. With this, I can go 4-5 weeks without coloring and look fine. With chemicals, I had to redo roots every 2 weeks because the dramatic hard line looked awful. Henna fades a bit, which is good for the natural look. With henna powders, I add a few things. I use 1 spoon of instant coffee mixed in with the hot water and henna powder. I add cinnamon for smell and a spoon of fresh squeezed lime juice for potency and action. I let this brand mix sit for one hour sealed, then put it on my roots for one hour, then I leave it in my hair for 3-4 hours. Rinse out, no shampoo, using a tiny bit of conditioner at the ends to detangle and comb. Do not wash or rinse for two days and sleep with a black towel on your pillow. (A bit itchy and dusty, but worth the longer last!) Then resume shampoo and conditioner about twice a week. Henna hair products can be a bit dirty and crumbly, so there can be extra clean up needs during the process and for those first few days. This two pack lasts me 4-5 months; I do a half jar for roots once a month.

Great product. Terrible instructions.
Great henna powder but terrible instructions so I'm going to second what others have said. Ignore the instructions for one unless you want a dull color don't let it sit in for just 45 mins the longer it sits the deeper more beautiful color you get I let mine sit for 4 hours. Henna will dye your hands and scalp so be careful. It's full permanent and will not fade but darken with time if you let it sit for more than 2 hours at least. I recommend against using water as it doesn't work with henna natural formula some use lemon juice some use yogurt but I've been dying with henna for ten years and have found that white vinegar gets the best results you get a lovely vibrant color and it helps with natural highlighting. Plastic wrap your head like your afraid your brains going to fall out. Henna needs heat and can dry out so you don't want any air getting in and you want it to hold in heat after wrapping in plastic wrap I generally put on a beanie to help with making more heat. Never apply henna right after mixing its not going to weaken. Henna after being mixed with the right amount of vinegar should have the texture of mashed potatoes after that wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and let it sit for 12-24 hours henna needs time to be activated if you want the best color. Now be prepared if you use vinegar like I recommend to get the best results when you take of the plastic wrap cap it's going to stink very strong very pungent will clear your sinus instantly the smell will also slightly linger for about 2-3 days so make sure you use scented oil in your to help with that. Always deep condition after washing out henna otherwise your hair is going to be very stiff honestly I use conditioner half way through the wash out because it helps to detangle and get out all the henna paste. Lastly following my instructions it's not going to fade and will stay until it grows out not even bleaching will remove it once I tied going back to bleach blonde and bleached my hair and instead my hair was the color of sheer henna dyes into the very cores of hair and can be lightened but can't be fully removed so make sure it's what you want each time you re dye your hair it will become more deeper and more vibrant so it will only get better with time.

Best way to cover gray
I have naturally black hair, which is turning gray. I went for the black henna; but a friend convinced me to try medium brown. I am so glad I did- It looks a lot more natural! I cannot imagine covering my gray hair with anything but this product. I apply it once a month and it’s like getting a deep conditioner treatment. My hair is stronger, softer, and has more shine.

Works very well, a bit messy and stinky, but totally worth it!
Works great, love the color my hair is now with the henna (i use coffee so it's darker/tones down the red). I also use apple cider vinegar like it says in the instructions since I have gray. It looks awesome because it makes my gray hair look like highlights. Even my husband was like, wow, it looks like you paid someone to give you highlights!"Only negative which I don't think there is a way to fix...the smell. I can't stand the smell. It lingers for days, like a strong moldy tea smell. And it's a bit messy to put on since it's kind of liquidy like yogurt, I end up dripping it all over bathroom sink, but at least it cleans up easily and didn't stain my counter and sink like store bought chemical dye does! But I can deal with that since now I don't have to deal with those strong chemicals (which i didn't like the smell of either) from regular hair dye. I actually stopped dying my hair years ago cuz I hated the chemicals and how damaging it was to my hair and had resigned to just having tons of gray hair before I'm even 40, but now I am so happy to have this natural option! And great thing is it faded after about 3 weeks so if I change my mind or don't want to dye it for a few months then no big deal because it's not like there is a "line" like when permanent hair color grows out where your roots show. I love this because some months I'm not going anywhere or doing much other than work so I don't care if my grays show, but if it's like my birthday or I'm going on vacation or a wedding, etc. then I'll dye it so it looks nice in pictures, etc. for those special occasions.
